Who the hell said neither? Both is the obvious choice for me, but I would prefer Half Life 2: Episode 3 if I had to choose one.
well it would be killing the game as it was more a peace of innovation that was backed by the half life universe rather than a proper gamegmer412 said:How...?D_987 said:I really hope they don't make another Portal game - It'd kill the series.
And the title of this thread needs a "for" after "waiting."
Anyway, I'd like to see both of them. Don't make me choose!
Thank you - I'm a little miffed as to why people cannot grasp this simple idea - we don't need sequels to every successful IP. Portal was great because it was innovative and new. Not only would a sequel not live up to the gigantic hype, but it would potentially ruin the soon to be cult following the game will receive. (hence kill the "series").WellyPWNS said:well it would be killing the game as it was more a peace of innovation that was backed by the half life universe rather than a proper gamegmer412 said:How...?D_987 said:I really hope they don't make another Portal game - It'd kill the series.

Because it revolutionised storytelling and character based FPS's...MiloP said:Portal 2, I think I definitely enjoyed Portal more overall. I never really got why Half-Life won so many awards - it was just a linear shooter to me.
That's half life 1... The game was released in 1998, and those screenshots are using low settings. Of course they are going to look like crap. Half life 2 [http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2004/screen0/582864_20040511_screen005.jpg] on the other hand, looks amazing.Anonymouse said:Okay not to sound like a graphics whore or anything but come [http://www.forest.impress.co.jp/article/1999/03/03/game25_half-life1.jpg] on [http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/screenshots/gs/news/010608/dmc_screen002.jpg]. Freaking Quake back on the PSX looked better than that. Maybe if I can find some decent retextures...
Way to take screenshots from the demo, before they moved it over to the Source engine.Anonymouse said:Okay not to sound like a graphics whore or anything but come [http://www.forest.impress.co.jp/article/1999/03/03/game25_half-life1.jpg] on [http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/screenshots/gs/news/010608/dmc_screen002.jpg].
