I dislike it. I made it halfway through the fourth book before I gave up. It was just so damn boring and uninteresting that I couldn't go on.

There's hate for Harry Potter? Really? I thought it was Twilight...

They're nice books and they did their job.

They were interesting. I even go back and read some of them from time to time

My love for harry potter died after the goblet of fire. I don't hate it but I lost interest.

Really, hate for Harry Potter.

I never got into the books but I thought they had a great impact on the youth and reading.

I don't give two shits about Harry Potter and quite frankly am still wondering why it's still popular.

And then I heard of its thriving fanfic collective, and now I understand. Shipping ahoy.

Because they are actually really bad books which you will learn when you read a really good book. I put J. K. Rowling in that same place as I put Dan Brown and Stephanie Meyer(is that the twilight idiots name?).

Read Allan Moore, Neil Gaiman (specifically the Books of Magic which I have no doubt J. K. Rowling read A LOT), Terry Pratchett, Bill Bryson and many many other authors with actual talent.

Wow, thats exactly the same for me.
Well, I also found Kurt Vonnegut, so non Kurt books lost appeal.

The only hate I heard from Harry Potter I've ever heard was from crazy christians, and they have kept their mouths shut for 2 years at least.

i dunno, i originally disliked them, but then i got more and more into the story as it went on, order of the pheonix was amazing, last book lost it a bit about halfway through, the only thing i dislike about the serioes is how americans insist on calling the first book, "the sorcerers stone"

I loved them all. Read most of them at least five times by now (except Deathly Hallows, only read that twice).

J.K. Rowling is far from a fantastic author, but putting her on the level of Stephenie Meyer is a bit much.
