Yes I have not bought the game, canceled my preorder and all that jazz so yes I did put my money where my mouth was.

I will not ever get this game unless they change what was taken out.

No, I didn't switch my order because I never made an order for it. I find it completely pointless to pay MORE money to preorder a game. Only time I preorder a game is when it is cheaper to preorder it. Then, I found out there was on Prestige Edition for PC, and got annoyed, heard it was $60 instead of $50, and got more annoyed... Then everything else taken away and the tactical nuke completely ruining multiplayer, I was turned even more against it...

Same. Now I'll have to obtain it from...questionable...sources. They want to give us the middle finger, then I'll give them one right back. All the fun of MW2, without paying a cent! Hooray for piracy!!!

No, because I never preordered it in the first place. I will probably buy a second hand copy at some point.

Shame Multiplayer is the only reason I play CoD. No point in pirating for me.

I cancelled my pre-order last week. I refuse to play a PS3 version of the game on my computer. I will simply wait for BF2.

Screw IW. I hope this is utter failure for them. If they chose to make the right call and leave dedi's in the game, I would be playing it right now, while I am at work. :), but instead, I am going to continue to speak negatively about them and their idiotic choices.

I guess in the end it all worked out. Took the 60 bucks from that pre-order and got the kids Ratchet and Clank 2 for xmas. Killed two birds with one stone.

Nope, I did not cancel my pre-order...because I never pre-ordered it. Will I be showing solidarity with the boycotter's? No...because I never said I would boycott it in the first place. Activision and IW may have suposedly ruined the game for many with their love of multiplayer. But I'm a single player man, so until I play the game for myself, they have yet to ruin it for me...but there's still time.

On a related note:

Quick question. Forgive my blatant ignorance, but what is this "Price Hike" that everyone is badgering on about? Is this some future increase in price? Or was this an increase in the past? Because I haven't seen any evidence of price changes, past, present or otherwise...

Meh, I'm just not buying it. I'm not boycotting it, I just don't give enough of a shit about the game to pay that much for it.

You mean, if there was a whore on your street, and she only had one boob, and her vagina was sewn shut, and she charged twice as much as a whore that has all the necesary equipment, you wouldnt buy from her? You just called IW an inadequate whore!

I was not planning on getting it untill after Christmass anyway. Still planning on getting it for the PC. Who knows maybe someone will make a hack to allow dedicated servers by then.

So I have a question for you PC gamers, did you honestly cancel or switch your order of the PC MW2?
Sorry to seem thick but when you say switch order do you mean switch to the console version or just pre-order a different game?
Surely buying the console version as a boycott of the PC version is a worse act of protest than just buying the lazy PC version port. If that makes any sense.

I cancelled my pre-order by the way and the petition has almost reached 198000 names.

What i would like to know is when you guys say canceled your preorder, do you mean you gave up the money you put in, cause in gamestop you can only switch your money over to another preorder not just straight up take the money out. I had to switch it over they wouldnt give me my money back.

I was going to buy it for multiplayer. Made sure to avoid it though, and properly support it, as opposed to being one of those people who buys it and spends forever complaining how inferior my playing feels. Got me a nice new copy of Borderlands with the money.

I changed my preorder to BF:BC2 and got Dragon age origins 4 days ago so my gaming needs are satisfied.

I will eventually get MW2, better a gimped game than no game at all and come on guys... if non of us buy MW2 on PC and sales are low then they might not bother releasing the next Call of Duty game on PC at all!

I haven't even played World at War yet so I'm willing to wait till the PC version has fallen in price a bit more.

Meh, I'll rent it for 360 just for the single player, but I'm not messing my pants over this.

I may be a bit insane saying this, but if this is the PC trend, I think a lot of CoD players would actually be fine with that by the looks of the opinions here. No CoD is basically the same as them charging 60 for a gimped CoD in my eyes.

Well that's your loss.

I still really really REALLY want dedicated servers for MW2 and hope like hell that they will eventually implement them... but singleplayer is still just as PC friendly now as it was for COD4.

If the next game or entire series goes console exclusive it would be a shame, though I'd still play it on consoles.
