It was pretty average overall I'd say, nothing terrifying, nothing spectacular and academically I was pretty much fine getting 2 A's and 2 B's at A-Level by the end of it, nothing overly impressive but enough to get me into Uni. Didn't really get picked on all that much, at least not enough to really scar me or anything, though the social circle I hung around with for most of those years kinda treated me like shit though things got better toward the end. I'm certainly no less miserable having gotten out of there, so I can't say it was all that bad.

An incredibly excruciating experience. Four years lost in a sea of five thousand students, none of whom apparently gave a shit about anything.

I got out as soon as possible & I'm never looking back.

If this was an intentional joke, then bravo, sir.

OT: I went with awful, but would've preferred a "boring" option. I was fortunately too big and scary-looking to get picked on, but I hated having to waste 8 hours of my day surrounded by people I didn't talk to in classes that mostly wasted my time.

After a while, I started reading books during several classes and just ignoring the teachers. Some of them realized I had no business being stuck working at the pace of morons and had already finished the years curriculum around February, so they left me alone or suggested books for me to read. Man, my physics teacher was awesome. He asked what interested me, I said psychology and the next day he brought me a university psych book to read during his classes.

But, yeah, I think the best way to sum up my high school experience in one word is "boring".

In it right now and its pretty shit. Yeah I have friends, there are plenty of good times, I don't get bullied or anything, and I currently don't deal with any ***** teachers. That all being said I hate that im expected to act like an adult yet treated like a child by everyone except my JROTC instructors and a few teachers. I honestly either actively dislike or just want nothing to do with a majority of people here, and its just boring as fuck. Military school here I come!

I'm still in high school, and right now I'm having the worst time of my life.
But I guess when I look back at my high school experience in a few years time I would be able to laugh at how depressed I am right now.
It's not THAT bad...

I hated secondary. I've always considered that as soon as I left school and turned 16 was when life my started.

Depends.
Middle school was made of suck, but upper secondary or whatever I should call it is pretty decent.

I got no clue what age you age when you're in high school in USA, but I'll assume it's when you're 13-16 years old.
Was a great time. Had tons of friends and made it into a pretty good class. There was some issues in the beginning though. Was often in fights(and lost terribly), but when puberty really kicked in I grew to be a monster and no one has bothered me since.

It was great. Not only did I excellent friends, but I am one of those nerds who enjoyed learning and doing school work. I was the guy you all hated, who got high marks without even trying. The school itself was a wonderful place, teachers who I got along with very well as well as a caring staff in general.

Bullying wasn't an issue for me, my friends and I made it clear very on that we didn't give a shit what others said about us, in fact we might even agree with you. As for physical bullying, I'm a tall, rather huge looking guy who towered over most of the football players. I guess it was kind of a deterrent.

Bad. Very, very bad. Here are some highlights:

-Getting thrown to the ground and having my pants torn up by about 4 people because I was wearing khakis, which are apparently a forbidden article of clothing. Jeans, or else.

-Having a bottle thrown at me, luckily which was blocked by my backpack.

-Given lower grades for ridiculous reasons (misspelling a word on a MATH ASSIGNMENT, or having the "wrong" opinion on an essay)

-Having my cell phone stolen from my backpack and never returned, by a FACULTY MEMBER nonetheless.

-Going to detention for accidentally leaving my lunch bag on the ground

-Being forced to write a 2,000 word essay by hand about why I'll never get a job with my "impudence"

Independence in High School will put you at risk. Join the herd, or get picked off by the rest.

Kinda meh overall. First two and a half years were pretty shitty. But the last year and a half were actually alright.

You will appreciate your high school years a lot more once you are finished with it. Looking back at my high school years I realise that even while I didn't always enjoy it in the moment, I actually had a lot of fun.

I don't' really fit in the pole. It was one of the most miserable experiences in my life. But amongst all the misery are some of the greatest most cherished memories I have. I would never go back and do it again, but I'm very glad that I did it.

There was some good and there was some bad, but the best years were definitely the first one and the last one, which is where I seemed to make the most friends and the best ones too.

This is pretty much how I feel about it. I was bullied and exams really got to me in the last two years, but I did some things there that I loved. I would never, ever say it was the "best days of your life!" like a lot of adults told me at the time - I don't miss it at all. Things like choir trips and musical performances were fantastic, but they were few and far between and I'd never repeat the experience as a whole.

It was a monotony, which forced me into an (almost) never ending loop of, "Every day is the same" paradox. Oh wait, it still is, I never got out.

Through the three years of High School, I learned the equivalent of two days worth of research on the site, "Fun Factz".

The only up-side is: I learned about the real world, and how dumb some people can be. If I haven't attended HS, I would probably become an anti-social freak, who wouldn't know what, "What's Up" means.

So I guess, HS is a necessary evil.

I like the distinction between two grades of average in the poll - went for average (good) in the end. Had some pretty good times, did okay and met my girlfriend there, even if there were some rough patches early on.

When it come for the High School teachers given me the educations they did a good job which I'm greateful for (in saying so I guess my classroom was not disrupted as it would be compare to others).
When it come to the social aspect of High School was a different (there was a small time during High School I got depress for abit).
