Sure. Solving a ton of problems would be awesome. Aside from the degradation of the DNA, so each clone will last less than the previous one.

I can't be bothered to read every post. But There was a very nice book on a likewise topic. "Never let me go" by Kazuo Ishiguro. Quite interesting and it was one of my few english books i loved to read .

I guess so, you wouldn't even have to alter them genetically, but alter the embryo to prevent the brain forming. Just add the right chemical at the right time. It is something we can do RIGHT NOW.

But I'd have to go against it, as there are much better solutions with new technology for replacement organs.

The only way I see this "lifeless" clone is if somehow your body was totally destroyed or maybe just worn out with age then your mind could be transferred to theirs. But that is a hundred years away, barely worth even considering.

Yes, given that the clones aren't sentient, we should grow organs and save lives with them.

Of course, it may be cheaper to just grow the organs or other individual tissues.

I voted for, but if you think of it, it's kinda weird. I'm for growing organs on animals, but growing people for organs is fucked up. People have souls.

When your organs go, I think it is pretty safe to say that it is time to face death.

There are some paths humanity should not go down and accept the ineviable.

So long as the clones do not suffer (preferably they never even gain consciousness), I'm cool with it.
But if that isn't the case and we start living out scenes from Michael Bay's The Island, then I'm very against it.

Why don't they just grow the organ you need seprately in a test tube?

Well I'm all for it. Who knows when I will need new organs so that I can live FOREVER!
Or new skin so that I can look like I'm twenty FOREVER!
Its a shame about the brain though.
