that's a silly idiotic reason to completely switch over consoles and spend such a large amount of money, grow up stop having a tantrum and try and sort it out again.

Steam and Microsoft fucked you?

Yeah, PC is the 'better' platform, but if you can't use it properly: you will fail. Steam downloads and updates take over an hour (almost as long as PS3!), so not much difference with a 360 too. Actually, they all suck time away. No real answer except get a better internet connection. Steam will take a few hours to download a game, then a few more to update it. You are better off buying a disk from Best Buy.

You are rather silly if you buy a new 360 because you get red rings. They fix it for free ya know.

The whole "Do you want to do this" is a PC Microsoft PC "computer" type problem. No use bitching about it. It happens to everyone.

Shutting down your computer will freeze if a program needs your response to close it.
I got a new one because it is quieter actually. I would have gotten it anyways, just because the noise of the old Xbox 360 I had bothered me.

I can't speak to your PC problems, but your 360 complaints are pretty petty.

For all M$ knows Hexic is your favorite game of all time, and God-forbid your save gets overwritten you might have an embolism. The safeguards exist for a reason.

And besides, your Xbox was doing you a favor by trying to prevent you from buying Blacklight. Don't blame it for thinking you shouldn't play mediocre games.

And as Jake said, the updates for the PS3 are just as annoying, depending on your bandwith it might take you forever to download and install a mandatory system update, when all said update does is change meager shit like "now you can press X to view photos in this area of the home page." Whoop dee frickin' doo.
A) They could have easily left any files that might get overwritten for last. Example: if the system encounters something that could be overwritten, they automatically put it in a "last of all" list, and ask you about it AFTER all the stuff that is not in danger of overwriting anytnhing has been transfered. That way 90% of the data gets transfered while you go do something else instead of 10%. You should not have to babysit the sysytem for an hour. It is totally unnecessary.

B) If I want to play to play a mediocre game, that is my choice.

C) Thank you for warning me about the PS3's problems, I appreciate that.

A lot of people had that exact same problem with blacklight. I suggest un-installing both blacklight and windows live completely. Then run the installation for blacklight again. Because what it installs isn't actually windows live. It's some version of it that you can only access in the game. Not out. So I have a feeling it conflicts with the actual version of windows live.

As for all the shit with the transfer. Shit like that is bound to happen because the Xbox is so tightly secured against piracy. Half the time it wouldn't believe you are who you said if you logged in on your own machine. It's not a good thing when you consider how many times you'll need to replace it.

I've been through 4 machines. 2 normal 360's and 2 elites. All 4 have red ringed. The last elite just a few months ago. I'm sick and tried of it and tbh I can get 99% of it's exclusives on a PC. With a more reliable and free mulitplayer. So I doubt I'm getting it fixed. If you still want a console as-well just get a PS3. I've had one for about 8 months and had little problem with it. Aside from the ridiculous system updates.
It didn't work, but I was finally able to play it on my 360 elite. Anyways, thanks for your advice. I deeply appreciate it.

The Gods have cursed you. Simply, you must pray for forgiveness. Think, child, what sins have you committed? Repent and you shall be free.

Anyway, forget Red Rings and Yellow Lights, they're basically the same but with minor differences. After all of the crap people feed you about 'Microsoft uses the money you pay to update servers.' and 'PS3 has better graphics' it's all tiny details, it all boils down to this: Are you Sony or are you Microsoft?

Personally I'm both.

I swear, I'm the only person who doesn't have problems with his 360. Or, not many, and only one can actually be blamed on Microsoft. One 360 that I had for a few years RROD'd on me, after a few years, the second busted because incompetent movers busted it, and my third one hasn't had any issues, and it's the Arcade version.

If I had all the issues other people had I'd probably say I'd move to the PS3. Then I'd never be able to afford one and just not game anymore except WoW or on my friend's 360.

Wow not exactly a "no 360 problem" imo. I've had my launch day 360 and the only problem I've ever had was I was transporting my 360 on a 10 hour flight and when I landed I opened the drive I found that I had left a game in there and it had a huge crack down the middle, but that was probably from the baggage being thrown around than then 360 itself.

OT: I wouldn't buy a ps3 unless there are a ton of exclusives you want, in the end they are the same damn thing, both have problems and headaches.

Which is why I added the "or not many" part. And I've had a disk problem too, I had Halo 3 in my first 360 when it Ringed on me and it furked that all the way to hell. Wasn't even a scratch it just looked... burned, maybe. No scorch marks, just streaks.

I would be pretty frustrated at that point. Only the most asinine and self-righteous of Microsoft fanboys would suggest that you would be anything but brilliant for making the switch.

LOl Mr Grey do you by any chance look like this in real life?

An hour long? The most one ever took me was 15 minutes on 35% wifi connection.

Thanks. I have been getting a lot of hate in this thread for even asking other gamers this question. I appreciate the support.

To my knowledge I literally cannot play this game no matter how hard I try. The game will *not* access window lives servers no matter what I do.
Then, after it finally finished downloading, I tried to log on, but I was told that I couldn't use my profile, and that I had to recover my profile rather than just directly using it from the data transfer. So I recovered it. Then I tried to buy Blacklight Tango Down. I got another error message:

"Can't retrieve information from Xbox LIVE. Please try again later.

Status Code: 801553b2"

How is this much failure even possible unintentionally? Should I just switch to Sony PS3?
Either you suck with technology or you forgot about the most obvious thing to do:

BUY A BLOODY HARD COPY!!!

This will solve your problem. Unless you don't know how to use a disc tray. I'm just assuming that you're extremely unco.

When you make a thread stating you hate one company and you're basically threatening to change over, you will find some people will give you shit for it. I'm just sayin'.

first off, Don't fuck with my text, and second, their are no exclusives to the PS3 and a majority of the people here would agree with me, and third your avatars Fucking Gay. That has nothing to do with this, but seriously, get some fucking taste, and eye sight
