Not sure what your point is. Gaming is not breathing, but I suspect you know that already. So maybe that's your point? Everything is killing me, I know that. But with that knowledge I choose to do certain things over others - so that I have some level of enjoyment in my life before I die. But whatever I choose to do is entirely weighed up against the enjoyment it gives me. And the reality is that an hour of gaming is only taking an hour away from my life. So I was only asking that if it was taking more, would people still be willing to do it? And by doing so, thereby valuing gaming over living (albeit at a very old age).syrus27 said:I know it's only a hypothetical question, but its still a pretty stupid one, I ask you this:floppylobster said:...would you keep playing them?
It's only hypothetical, but consider that it was an indisputable fact that -
For every 1 hour you spent playing games you lost 4 hours from your total life span.
Would you still play?
If you knew unequivocally that breathing was killing you, would you keep breathing?
... Makes you think ...
Now what if we were to ask people who never played games? Or those who live in a retirement village. I would think their answers would be different. So do you love gaming enough that you don't care for the consequences? I guess that is the question. And if you equate gaming with breathing, then I guess that is your answer.
