The hell I'd keep playing. D:

I love my games, but I think I value my life just a tiny bit more. But not much more. ;P
Okay, but what about 1:2 ratio? Then you might only lose a few years off the end of your life. And what if you're in your 80s and can barely walk and are half blind. How do you weight up losing 3 years of a fairly unhappy time in life against a lifetime of enjoyment through games?
I dont think a half blind man could play videogames anyway...

And yeah id probably quit for good, get into somthing more constructive, like sports.

So i basically lose under 2.5 years from my overall life span for playing many games regularly?

Yeah, I'm totally still in. I don't smoke and rarely drink so I'm probably up a few years as it is.

Yes i think i would... 1 hour playing games in exchange for 4 hours probably doing something tedious... pretty good deal when you think about it

Tbh, that's probably considerably less than I regularly take off my lifespan with alcohol so it probably won't make the blindest bit of difference.

Honestly? I probably would, but I would be much more picky about what I play. I'd never get anything upon release, I'd always wait for the absolute best one or two titles per year and play through those.

The reason I'm saying yes is because I really don't think I'd enjoy the last few years of my life. Being old, plagued with a bunch of health problems, and most likely no longer able to take care of myself does not sound appealing to me. At all. And if I could lessen the burden on my family by playing a few video games? Eh, sure, why not.

Hey, if I don't get arthritis and can see the screen well enough then I'm going to be gaming A LOT in those years. :)

It'd make me sad, because I love video games, but I really prefer living, so I'd do my best to give it up.

Admittedly, I would either have to find a completely new, interesting hobby or occasionally give in.

I do sort of like the idea of gaming like mad when I feel like I've gotten "too old", though...

I'd want to investigate how much the other hobbies were killing those people, because there's nothing games do that other hobbies don't.

I would reduse playing video game quite a lot but play more alternative games (since you state video game).
