Why would it be? Cat's are some of the badass creatures in the animal kingdom! The can hunt dozens of things three times their size by themselfs can't they?

Besides, If a girl is really turned away by the fact that I have a cat, I'm glad I got rid of them this early.

And I actually have a very small dog phobia from when a dog taller than me jumped on me when i wass 6 and gave me a concussion and minor fracture to my skull. That's why we have a cat instead, I still love dogs though.

Cat's are great! Never used to be a cat person but they hypnotised me with their charm, most likely a ploy to kill me but nevermind! Ta-Kun is great though and very cute, i go over just to see him as much as to see his owner.

I'm a heterosexual male and own a cat. Personally, I think having more than one cat at a time is weird, but owning/loving cats in and of itself isn't. I'm a major combat pragmatist, sometimes badass, and planning on joining the military soon; yet I still break off in the middle of sentences to say "Kitty!" whenever I see a fuzzy feline.

On an unrelated note, I hate dogs. Most smell bad, you have to do let them out to go to the bathroom (I don't believe in outdoor pets, canine, feline, or other.), they're much more likely to be vicious than kitties, most breeds are large, and they aren't anywhere near as fluffy, fuzzy, and lovable as cats. Plus, they don't purr and meow and stuff. "Normal" dog (Retrievers, beagles, terriers, etc.) puppies are still adorable, though. But, then again, so are tiny bears, young elephants, and baby tigers. Doesn't mean they make good pets.

Hey I love both cats and dogs, maybe dogs a bit more, and I don't really undeerstand why anyone would think a man loving a cat would be strange. Afterall it's their pet, why shouldn't they love it?

Who are you to question God? And yes, the mandate must have come from Him. A cat is just a cat- its a loving pet, and when people start arbitrarily assigning who and who cant have a pet my hackles start to rise at the sheer vacuousness of it.

I love my cat. I think my cat likes it when I pet her, and that's close enough to "she likes me back" for a cat. My girlfrend took me to the pound and bought her for me on my birthday. I'd say I'm pretty attached, and it's not weird at all. Cute and fluffy, yet predatory and bat-shit crazy. My kind of animal, and a good reflection of the sweet, loving, bat-shit crazy girl who purchased her for me.

I don't think it's weird for anyone to love cats, though I respect everyone's right to have their own opinion on felines.

well i have 2 cats a brother and sister, one is definately out for world domination and the other, the female ironically, is timid as fuck and runs at the sight of me unless im slow and let her come to me. I like 'em both but i prefer my dog, he is freaking retarded, and both cats manage to kill something and bring it to me as a present, even though they have literally killed all wildlife in my back garden and scared off anything else. Decapitated birds on the living room floor are not what i had in mind when i come home
