I prefer dogs, but cats can be quite friendly and worthy of my attention when they let me give them attention. This one buzzing cat on cat-nip tried running through a fence to avoid me (I wasn't doing anything threatening other than I looked at him) and after 5 failed attempts, ran away like a squirrel.

But some other kitties in a more residential area were quite friendly and often came up to me for some love. Usually to or from my way to the gym.

Well I not sure, the only man I know who has a cat is my uncle who has been single for twenty years...maybe there is something of a stigma for men to have a cat. Personally I don't like cats anyway, their lazy and self centred. I prefer man's best friend, dogs.

As far as I'm concerned, there's almost nothing that can make me love a man to death more than when he loves animals, especially cats, and almost nothing as off-putting as a man who believes loving animals and cuddling with them is not "manly". I officially would not be able to spend time with a man who can't live with an animal. Alright, I might be exaggerating a bit, but for the love of God, no, it's not weird. I love it and I especially have a soft spot for men and kittens, being a huge cat-lover myself. I'd dare say that a man could win me over easier with that, than with being good looking.

Eh.. seriously is pet choice now also 100% of the reason why someone might dislike you. Oh I guess it always has been right.. yeah love is fickle, dating is a game of poker and really the rules are there to be broken

Now where is the kitty treat?

By the way if you go by glossies you gotta question how 99% of the people stay together. Seriously what glossies are saying is the biggest load of crap I seen in a while.

It might not be the most masculine thing to say, but hey, cats are cute. Kittens in particular. I don't like'em, though. Every cat looks like they're scheming for household domination.

I like turtles, myself.

OT: I don't mind cats but I prefer dogs. Dogs are more fun for me to play with (I have a german shepherd) because I can run around with them and they are much more loyal. Also, they love you unconditionally even when you're a dick at times.

The society is overly possessed with stereotypes. I even heard someone on the radio talk about how men was supposed to eat ice cream by biting it while women were supposed to lick it and "for a man to lick the ice cream is about as sexy as for him to wear a push-up bra."
I can't bite ice cream, or my teeth hurt because it's so cold.
>.<
That guy is an idiot.

Cats are awesome. My cat, though, still bring me decapitated animals even without canines and front claws, and stays in our house at night. It's like having a small, fuzzy serial killer rest in your house after a days brutal murder. I still love him.
Aww, that means he loves you too. I mean, you're practically blind and deaf with no sense of smell to speak of, in his eyes- he's trying to make sure you don't starve!

[small]Seriously, you people with your pictures make me want to go out and adopt a cat. I just can't quite afford one yet, and hell if I'll take in an animal without being able to care for all its needs.[/small]
Cheeky little bastard still meows for cat food.

Anyone who is worried about the image of or insecure enough in their sexuality to consider the enjoyment of cats as pets by men as a sexual or emotional turn off, is not worth talking to in the first place.

<3 cats.

[HEADING=1][HEADING=1]CATS ARE AWESOME![/HEADING][/HEADING]

No, seriously. I have 5 cats and I love them to bits. And I am a straight guy. I actually meow sometimes, much to the worry of my friends XP I have a fluffy black cat named Random. Cats are clean, intelligent and affectionate. They are strong, capable and beautiful killers too... how is that not manly?!

I love cats, but all the ones I owned were evil bastards. My latest cat the other day stripped all the feathers off a pigdeon, but left it to die. Then broke the jaw and kneck of a grass snake, which are really rare in this part of england. But didn't kill it. Then she caught a black rat, which are only found near the coast where I live, and I'm no-where near a port or beach, so how she got it is unknown to me. She did eat it, but rats are the only thing she does eat.

And this was in one day. I hate having to put animals out of their misery just because of her
My cats a warrior but one day she brought me a live, unharmed bunny. I think she knew I wanted another pet. Except then the rabbit screamed and ran away and I had to protect it from all of my cats. Why had no one ever mentioned before that bunnies have bloodcurdling screams?

Seriously....

How can you not love this singularity of adorableness that is a cat.

I'm gonna say the same thing that multiple people surely have said already. Sure cats might not be "manly" but are you manly enough to have a cat and not take shit from others?
Can I steal your cat? It is double plus cute.

I hope not because I like my cat and my cat loves me. I'm not even kidding with thatlast remark I am the only one in my family that my cat likes and because of that she likes to hang around me and won't leave me the hell alone even though I pretend to verbally abuse her and don't really pay much attention to her but she still comes back to me and at times it gets very annoying.
