Ladies, do you want a malny man? Like the guys in old spice comercials, who has more swagger than James Bond and Frank Sintra.

Or do you want a guy that will tell you he loves you everday, and cook for you and be compassionate?

I'm not a lady, but EVERY girl I have ever asked has said they dislike manly men, they like cute guys. I think it's just the sluts that like manly men. Why do you think James Bond gets laid so much?

In the end the males who can be "manly" and "sweet" at the right times with the right intensity are the most successful.

Personally, I don't care as long as the guy himself is someone I genuinely like. Although "manly men" tend to be jerks.

I can't help but say that there's been an other similar thread made by women for women.
But I'm not one to school you on this. Take a look here, if you need data: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.187131-Poll-What-kind-of-GUY-would-you-fall-for#5712614

Edit: you just gave me an idea for a thread!

That's not fair - even I, a straight guy, would have trouble turning down James Bond. AND I AM NOT A SLUT DAMMIT!

Haha, I have a friend that I call Woodsey. Cause his second name is Woods.
Maybe James Bond was a bad example. Maybe Mr T is a better one. :L

I'm sorry, but women lie. 90% of woman you ask this question will say they prefer sweet guys, but in reality 90% of women are attracted to the manly man.

From what I know about Women, they want both - and neither - at the same time - but also one at the right time but not at the others but want them to be it without provocation but intuitively.

I find it hilarious that anybody could begin to apply science and logic to emotions, especially the love life of women.

You might as well ask a poll of which direction the wind is blowing.

Women want a tough guy that will do what they want and make them feel good without them even asking.

In my experience they tend to miraculously want both. They want a guy who is a tough, manly man, but who shows sweetness and compassion to them when they want it (want it, not ask for it, you should know when they want it without them giving any signs stupid!), but to also show lust and passion when they want that.

To be honest, guys can very rarely win.

Don't forget the part where you're supposed to use psychic powers to know which mode they want you to be in at any given second.

Edit: Haha, looks like you didn't!

Technically, women are attracted to the personalities of sweet guys but the pheromones of manly men. I personally will go for either or, but the idea of a sweet guy sounds really appealing to me at the moment. If sometimes we seem like we don't go for the sweet guys ever, it's because experience has taught us that the sweet ones are gay. Gay guys make great friends, but can't ever make a good boyfriend =/

.. excuse me as I sigh about knowing no sweet, straight guys.

That's because they want to "fix" him and turn him sweet. But then if he does change, that takes all of the spontaneity out of the relationship and she'll dump him the next day.

there's truth in that, i recall seing a documentary about it (discovery, nat geo? i dont remember) that said that depending on their lifephase and/or part of monthly cycle they are in women are more attracted to men with manly physical attributes or more softened womanlike attributes, think jawstructure, eyebrows
depending on if they want healthier and stronger offspring or a long-time caregiver to the offspring

The best kind of boyfriend is the one, that approaches is life, and relationships with the habit of a 15th century italian noble. Took me a while to find, but I can definately tell :3
