Poll: ME2 or FF13?

FFXIII as I'm obviously an FF freak Really hoping they've changed a few things since XII as I know a lot of people disliked it. It certainly wasn't SE's finest hour.

What are you talking about? FFXII was great. What exactly don't people like about it?

I said a lot of people I know disliked it
I think it was the licensing battle system. It was a new thing for me so I wasn't that fussed but it caused the game a lot of critiscm.

I said it wasn't SE's finest hour because it wasn't AS GOOD as previous games. I loved all of the characters it was based around except Vaan who you kinda had to play as most of the time. That was what really disappointed me but I certainly didn't dislike the game : )

ME2 never played a single FF game and I never got into the style that FF clones played like.

Hopefully Mass Effect will have little to no Driving or maybe a good spaceship combat.

Idk, I liked the licencing system as a viable means of leveling up. The battle system was a HUGE step up from standing in a static line taking turns to attack eachother. It was action-y while still allowing for strategy. You only had to play as Vaan until you picked up Balthier(who was the games best character imo) Oh and best of all it is a return to Ivalice, the magic land of when final fantasy was at its best.

I can't really find fault in it when comparing it to previous games. Must just be me

I don't know anything about ME or ME2 so it's FF13 by default.

But I'd choose FF13 over any game because it looks fucking fantastic.

Mass Effect 2, because I like games which try and do something different or advance the genre.

Rather than generic moody emo prick with a bad haircut vs big monster featuring backstory love triangle with a bunch of shallow women characters.

Mass Effect 2 simply because of the amazing amount of upgrades you could do to just about everything in the first one. I had pistol bullets that turned enemies into green mush. If you do it right by the end of the game you are throwing everyone around and shooting more holes in them than swiss cheese. It is a very very satisfying feeling.

Used to love Final Fantasy... but after 12 games, I tend to go for other RPG's more, such as the last remnant, lost odyssey, and of course mass effect. And I cannot wait for ME2.

Besides Final Fantasy XIII Versus looks more interesting than Final Fantasy XIII

I was starting to genuinely believe that Square must have only made XII for my entertainment, I think it is great game, it always seems to me that Square can't win, if they kept an old battle system they would be accused of not moving forward and because they 'evolve', the gameplay they are still in the wrong, I have pretty much enjoyed all of FF (Crystal Chronicles aside ) and have enjoyed they way things have changed too!

All three FF XIII games will out match Mass effect 2 in content and fun, my personal opinion
(having played the first ME and every Final Fantasy)

i prefer the traditional RPG

Why don't we just ask if they prefer chips or driving their car to work every day? You can't compare them because they're two completely different things, and it's a stupid question because nobody loves that monotonous latter task.

I hated the story, lack of character development, and the fact that if I wanted a special item I would have to hack away at the same enemy over and over and hope it dropped what I needed. Over and over.

I really liked the battle system, and the licensing thing wasn't the worst thing they could have done with the whole "levelling up thing"
But too true Balthier was the best character in this game he made it worth while for me.
I just put FFVII on a pedestal and can't find a Final Fantasy game that will beat it for it's Characters, it's story - that's what makes an rpg for me. Making a game LOOK prettier than VII wasn't hard but for everything else nothing compares for me
