I used to shave my whole face daily. Lately, since November, I've been growing a beard but have been shaving in some areas (no hair on my neck or upper lip and I keep my beard line straight).

For the time I was 16-17 I started growing full beards with about 6 months between shavings, after that being clean shaved was really awful feeling. Now I trim it down about once every month to keep a nice tight old dutch style beard. I love beards :3

Oh man, I so hate shaving. It's extremely odd for me, but the more blades a razor has, the more it hurts to shave. Fortunately I have a Remington, which is freakin awesome, best xmas gift of the past 2 years.

I shave about twice a year. I'll usually start with a clean shave, then let it grow until it annoys me (usually 6 months or so), then the cycle begins anew.

Well, I'm 17 and have not shaved once in my life; I don't have any facial hair to speak of.

Usually every day, since my work requires me to. When I have a vacation, I usually do it once a week due to laziness... I always use a good ol' razor, cold water and shaving cream.

Two kinds of people without beards. Women and boys.

I am neither.

Beards are the greatest thing to have, chin warmer on the bike, something to stroke deep in thought.

The beard's "Got me a beard" should cover all issues.

Your polling questions leave a little to be desired, except egg. That one's perfect.

I guess the best fit for me right now is "haven't for a while". I'm growing a beard for a theater role, and while the end result is going to look much sillier than I've got right now, it's easier just to let the whole thing grow out naturally.

Normally, as a human chia pet I have to shave on a daily basis, or else it looks...er, scraggly.

I've been known to let my goatee swing freely from time to time.

Feels good, man. Hope the picture isn't gigantic.

I generally save the other areas once a week or so.
I wish I could get mine that long; longest I've managed was about 5", which was able to cover my throat.

Catpcha: beautiful friendship... I guess the internet is telling us we should be beard buddies?
It took me a little over a year to let it get that long.

Captcha might be right. Beard buddies are always good.
My beard must grow a bunch slower, then.

I should mention the first rule of being beard buddies, though: no making out, because beard-lock sucks, and trying to un-velcro 2 beards is a terribly frustrating game.

:)
Definitely.

Beardthulu approves of these terms and conditions and agrees that the game is, indeed, frustrating. :D

I'd shave, but I don't want to die.

I believe I do look better with facial hair, and beards are great, so there you go.

I don't like facial hair, I don't really like how it looks or feels on me, so I try to keep clean shaven. I usually shave at least once a week, although sometimes more when I have the time.

Also, I shave with an electric razor.

I used to do a Goatee-mutton chop combination. I am working on a full beard and will see where I go from there.

I don't grow hair on my face at any great speed at all. I just shave it when it gets visible, usually every 3-4 months.

Typically I only shave if I have an important event to go to or if the hair starts to bug me. Neither happens that often, though, so it tends to be a while between shaves.

Course, there's not that much to shave. All the facial hair I have exists in a little patch on the neck.

I shave right before social events in addition to once a week. On long vacations or days when I'm cooped up at home then I let it grow. I live in a warm, humid climate so having long facial hair here isn't very desirable for me. I also really like that nice, clean shaven feel on my face that comes a few hours afterwards.

When I climb into my steam-powered time machine I try to grow in my handlebar mustache and muttonchops first, if only for precedent's sake. How else am I supposed to exude my natural aura of dominance and machismo over those savages from 10 years ago in a polite, dignified manner?

I am stuck in an uncomfortable middle ground when it comes to shaving. I hate shaving, it is a fucking chore and a half, I shave every 2 days. I would grow it out, but it gets to a certain point that it starts itching really badly. People have said to me that that goes away after a while, but last year I grew it out for about 3 weeks, it being unbearably itchy for the majority of that time, it was a pleasure to finally get rid of that beard when I had to go back to work.

So, I shave because I have to. But I don't like it.
Yeah, I hate shaving. Which is why I stopped. The itching does go away after a while, but depending on how quickly it grows out on someone it can take weeks (like me). From the sound of it, yours doesn't grow quickly either.
