Depends on the tone of how I'm talking to her.

Casual, matter of fact is just "Mom"- but if I'm just like having a laugh with her or making fun of her a little, then "Mum"

"Yes, mother." Dripping with sarcasm.

(although I don't have much cause to address my mom, as we're no longer on speaking terms.)
Pretty much this.

I say mum, or ma, because that's how I was brought up.

Neither, since I don't speak english with my parents, and I've never had a conversation requiring me to pronounce that word elsewhere. I spell it mom though :p

Mum. Because I am not American.

Although over here, people mostly say "mam", for some reason.
Crazy irish and their mangling of words.

Wow, I just did the poll and I made it 190/190 even, hahaha.
Yeah 'mom' definitely. 'Mum' sounds sooooo. . .British maybe?

I say Mum as I was under the impression that Mom was an American thing.

I've almost always said "Mom" with the occasional "Ma", "Mum", and "Mother". She hates "Mother".

Considering that the original definition of mum is...
----------
--Adjective
1.
silent; not saying a word: to keep mum.

--Interjection
2.
say nothing! be silent!

--Idiom
3.
mum's the word, do not reveal what you know (about something); keep silent
-----------

With those definitions I've always felt more comfortable saying mom or mother. Then there is the factor of myself being an American.

Also, mum is apparently a strong beer or ale first made in Brunswick, Germany.

I thought it was just whether you're english or american

English - Mum
American - Mom

It's not really a choice

It all depends on accent doesn't it? I'm from New Zealand, so I say Mum. I don't know anyone NZ-Born in the country who says Mom.
