I say mum...
Was confusing to others when I was a child, I called my mum mummy and my gran mother mum or BIG mum...
got worse when it twigged mummy was a bit sad.
but now my mum is mum or mon

Mama or mom. I'm a baby, I know. Although I typically call her Lady (as in the cartoon - "I love you lady, buh-bye")

Mum generally. Hearing little American kids emphasise the O sound on tv really grates me for some reason. Adults saying mom I can deal with, when little kids do it, ugh...

More often than not I'll use something like "Mother Dear" "Mumsy" or if I'm feeling really sarky "Mein Obergruppenfuhrer!". Should probably explain the last one. It stems from this tv show which my mum loves.

I speculate the depth is a veiled attempt to get a feel of how much of the escapist community is North american vs european. But thats just me and I see conspiracy everywhere.
