8 years and three continents haven't killed mine.

'course, my Atari 2600 still works, too. I either have phenomenal luck, or I just do something different...

Got mine in 2002. Still works. Still play Final Fantasy on it.

My xbox 360 has been replaced twice in 2 years and now I need to get a FOURTH one. FFS!

It won't read DVD movies any more, for some reason, but it still plays games most of the time.

Yep. Had my original for years, my sister has had it for like the last two years. It still works perfectly and the controllers are fine. It's a solid old thing (Y)

8 years on, only one repair which was made during it's 5th year. Such a magical box that thing.

Yes.

Also, after only one repair, my PS series 1001 is still working, too. (First day purchase, it even surprised the tech when i told him how old it was.)

I had an original for 3 years before it broke (though I suspect foul play from siblings so that may not be indicative). My slim has been going for 6 years and runs without a hitch.

Yeah, works like a charm. I was playing San Andreas on it yesterday infact, Man that game is fucking amazing. The only problem is one of the controller's analog sticks gets stuck sometimes. And so does the disc tray, but only rarely.

I was about to go and answer this question, set up my old PS2 then saw that there was no power lead in the box, and realised that it must have been the one in that pile of old electrical junk I took down the rubbish dump about 45 minutes ago. Fuck. Anyone know if a PS2 (original, UK) need a special power lead?
