Sorry, I couldn't resist, since that was the first thing I thought of upon reading that. Hence the "hopefully not" bit.
I wanted to expand upon what I said earlier cause I sort of wandered off into a tirade there, and I really apologize. As some others have said, a good personality is a must for someone I'd be looking for in a permanent partner/lover/spouse. However, as the person I quoted pointed out, it isn't going to work if that's the ONLY thing you like about someone. I've met quite a lot of people who have friendly even charming personalities but didn't look like someone I'd be interested in.
I think someone mentioned "small breasts, cute face, nice figure, intelligence, and glasses" as something they might look for. Those would certainly be something I'd be on the look out for, to be certain, and will more often than not find myself glancing (or even staring) at girls who fit that perfect tally (glasses are optional). A bonus plus if she's got red and/or long hair, preferably not blonde (as I am personally sick of seeing blonde everywhere in media).
But that list really is "perfect" and as we all know, nobody is really perfect. My best friend who also used to be my girlfriend for several years, actually had quite large breasts which isn't something I look for in a girl (she was also a bit plump, but in an attractive way). However, she had more than enough of the qualities I looked for (especially personality, cute face, and long hair) for me to love her with all my heart.
To be honest... this really is a topic that's hard to answer just right because as was said the topic itself is a little vague and "pretty or hot" doesn't begin to scratch the surface of how you would describe different girls. Personally, I also think that "Hollywood Beautiful" is often grotesquely thin, and I sadly know a lot of people consider them both pretty AND hot.

The perfect women for me is a cute girl, possibly red head. I'm not much for ass or chest size, so long as she has the personality to make me happy and laugh, vice versa, thats my perfect women. Also petite to, sexual preferences and all but thats it lol xD
Nobody would describe the girl I was with today as "hot". Not in the traditional sense, at least. Cute, yes. Voluptuous, hell yes---"take a picture and stick it on a plane and go nuke Hiroshima" voluptuous. Hot? Bones are for dogs.

I try not to go to either pretty OR hot. My favorite are the cute ones. Perfect bodies? no. Giant rack or, ass? Noooo. I love the cute ones. Cute to me is based more on personality than appearance...they are the ones who are bubbly, they squeak when they sneeze, they are easily startled (and when startled, they jump and make another of those adorable squeaking noises)

Well I pick pretty. People that are hot are usually the popular kids in school. Which I hate with a burning passion. They just try to be their best in being eye candy for the world. When that happens the standard of "normal" raises. If the person is naturally hot (it happens) then lucky them. They just better not get alienated by society. If they do then they are just added to my long list of people I need and want to Gibbs Slap.
I'm more attracted to someone who is pretty and an unatractive body, to someone who has an ugly face, and an attractive body. Idealy, i would aim for someone who is better than average in both, but don't we all.
I'm honestly a bit disgusted by the general attitude in this thread. Hot girls are just nice bodies with empty personalities? Girls like that certainly exist but they're no more the rule than pretty girls with princess complexes. I'm also confused as to when hot became all about the body. I've always used pretty to describe girls who are physically attractive, beautiful to describe pretty girls with the confidence to back it up and hot to describe beautiful women with the sexuality to set me on fire. It's got nothing to do with cup size. Sasha Grey is one of the hottest women I've ever seen in my life and she certainly doesn't have a giant chest. So going by my own parameters, hot is going to win this one every time.
Entirely subjective, entirely up to the individual. Personally, I think there has to be some physical attraction for that part to work, but the rest is less about finding someone that's perfect or perfect for you, and more about finding someone you can just be yourself with and who can be his/herself with you.

I won't lie; my standards are high. But I don't just look at the beauty of the subject of my affections. They often ARE quite beautiful to me. For example, a person that has a beauty that takes my breath away also probably has one of my other required traits; self respect. And I can smell when she doesn't respect herself, reguardless of her beauty, So one is not the other.

Depends, there are women I'd love to sleep with because they are hot. There are women I'd like to get to know/be in a relationship with because they pretty.

i like cute girls myself. a cute personality and a cute body. i hate "hot" chicks, they are just bitches for the most part. i went to cal poly and most of the chicks their were just cookie cutter bitches but they also had some of the most awesome people. its was sort of like sorting through crap to find diamonds
