There's no substitution for subtitles, it just looks and sounds strange when the voice actor doesn't fit the actual actor's character.
Trust me, peripheral vision is enough if you've been watching subbed movies all your life.Somonah said:dubs. definatly dubs. i will never ever understand why people prefer subs. Movies are to be watched, not read.
Exactly this, half-assed dubs are exacerbated with live action movies, while anime's can be so fast paced, subs distract from everything that's going on.Clive Howlitzer said:If it is a live action anything, I prefer subs. If it is an anime, I prefer dubs.
Hells yea. I hate the whole 'japanese language is ALWAYS better in anime thing'. A lot of the japanese voices.....cant voice act worth shit and end up sounding monotone, like they're just reading off their script.HassEsser said:Exactly this, half-assed dubs are exacerbated with live action movies, while anime's can be so fast paced, subs distract from everything that's going on.Clive Howlitzer said:If it is a live action anything, I prefer subs. So, yea; movies -> subs, animation -> dubs
I agree with this as well.HassEsser said:Exactly this, half-assed dubs are exacerbated with live action movies, while anime's can be so fast paced, subs distract from everything that's going on.Clive Howlitzer said:If it is a live action anything, I prefer subs. If it is an anime, I prefer dubs.
