Squirtle.

Beats charmander with fire and bulbasaur with ice.

SUPERIOR
We have a winner.

Bite, Ice Beam, and Surf trump every Pokemon type except Electric. But fuck that shit, who uses Electric Pokemon anyway?
I did, my good sir. Just becuase of how many fucking people ignored it. I could take out any of your Blasioses. XD

OT: Without a doubt, Bulbasuar. He's a... thing... With a plant for a spine. XD 2nd gen, Cyndaquil, I love Quivera and wouldn't let it evolve... 3rd Treeko. 'Nuff said. 4th: I never played it. -.-

Alright, guys, here's where it goes down. Many an elementary school debate has raged over this very subject: what is the starter Pokemon that will eventually lead you to unstoppable-dictator-with-a-chainsaw status?

Of course, I only include Generation One because everyone knows that there were only three Pokemon games.

My personal favorite would have to be Squirtle, as he evolves into Blastoise, who would easily come barreling through your kitchen wall, break your dining-room table in half with his forehead, impale your mother with the sheer force of his water cannons, beat your father to a bloody pulp by simply looking at him, and then calmly let you climb on top of him and ride atop his shell to the Seafoam Islands.

I choose Squirtle. I love the water element, I think he looks just totally F*cking awesome as Blastoise, and I like a *balance* of being powerful and difficulty. Also, I love Squirtle's personality in the show, with the sahdes and everything :)

If you like a challenge, charmander.

If you like godmode, Bulbasaur.

Charmander is at a disadvantage against both beginning trainers. By the third trainer, you are no longer dependent on your begginer pokemon, and you have enough pokemon to win gym battles without them. Squirtle has an advantage against the first one, but not the second. bulbasaur has an advantage against the first two trainers.

Charmander is hard mode, Bulbasaur is easy mode, and Squirtle is average difficulty.

I like Squirtle for his average level of difficulty, his graphics,(Blastoise is F*cking awesome!!) and his personality :)

Charmander. There were (and always are) a buttload more water and grass types than fire types. In the originals, fire types were basically exclusive to Magmar, Charmander, and Moltres as far as I can remember.

In second, Bulbasaur because there wasn't a grass-type legendary.
Growlithe/Arcanine, Ponyta/rapidash, Vulpix/Ninetails, Evee/Flareon.

Fire types were rarer than grass types, and grass types were rarer than water types, but fire types weren't really "rare."

Ghost types take that prize. Fighting pokemon were rarer than fire pokemon.

Eevee. Adorable in all its forms, yet capable of one-shotting a lv. 100 Groudon if raised properly. My Espeon did indeed do that, once.

Well, the rarest out of the starter types anyway.

Also, this is Pokemon we're talking about. It's always easy. =P

Err....you forgot Gen 2, 3, 4.

All of which most certainly do exist, and brought us such lovable starters as Cyndaquil, Mudkip and Piplup.

I don't know why it's never an option, but in the pokemon worlds you have all these creatures running around with abilities to use elemental attacks capable of causing mass devestation. Why does no one carry a gun?

9mm = My starter. The rest of my sidebar inculdes a .44 and a Desert Eagle. They're weak against rock type, strong against...everything else.

Out of the originals: Charmander. I'm a sucker for fire-breathing dragons.

Overall: Probably Cyndaquil, I think, since Typhlosion can learn so many varied moves that you can barrel through the Elite Four of Gold/Silver with just Typhlosion.

Um...you can get a desert eagle in a .44 magnum, unless that is what you meant. Personally I would go with a Springfield Armory XD chambered in S&W .40, My S&W .500 with an 8 and 3/8 inch barrel, and my semi-auto Mossberg 930 shotgun. (It holds 7 12 gauge 3 inch rounds.)

I would use the SA XD as a backup for small pokemon trying to kill me, my 500 as a backup for big pokemon trying to kill me, and my shotgun as my main gun.

Although my Blastoise comes with GUNS BUILT INTO HIS BACK, so why would I need to use my guns?

What did I just say about Gen 2? There was no Gen 2.
I disagree, and maintain that there was indeed a second Generation.
What, what? I've heard about criticism, but total denial is a new one on me.
You'd better leave him alone, or you'll force him into an existential crisis

Also, hey Mookie, how's it going? It's been a while...

Squirtle and Bulbasaur are over-kill and makes the game too easy, is it not a game of strategy? If there was a pokemon that fired nukes, would you catch it and kill everything with a single blow? wheres the fun in that...

Aren't Blastoises guns water cannons though? And for that matter, why don't they use them for fighting fires? It's like a pocket sized fire truck that never runs out of water.
