This. The Dark Brotherhood just really can't be beat in quests. Whodunit? I mean, come on, that was pure gold. I was compelled to follow the storyline, almost as if this wasn't an open-ended game.Custard_Angel said:I got myself into the dark brotherhood by accident after some nosey farmer got all up in my business. Went to sleep, had a wtf moment when the assassin showed up and went on from there.
I kind of wish I didn't find it first though because every other guild and quest tree is downhill from the dark brotherhood.
Meh, That what I did...except for the mods.Trezu said:What was the first thing you did in Oblivion 4 when you first exited the sewer? what did you do to make the game interesting and what was your first guild?. What Race were you?
I was a Redguard [Male] who joined the Brotherhood and Killed everything that moved and i dabbled in Mods and stuff
I did. Maybe not the top ranks, but high up in each, and I have to say, it kinda broke the game for me. It was weird knowing that my guy was head of each one. I'd have rather they amplified the bonus's of each one, then had you choose between them.zipzod said:Who else had a character that was Champion of Cyrodiil, Gray Fox, Fighters Guild Master, Archmage, and Listener?
Or have him go around and murder people in his spare time and worship demonic beings. I can never have a single character anymore. I generally restrict certain ones to certain Guilds so I can keep the atmosphere and immersion a bit better.zipzod said:Nothing was "broken" in terms of gameplay, but I see your point. In retrospect, it does seem odd when the respected Archmage breaks into your house at night to steal your vegetables and to sell your silverware to a Nord insomniac in a pub.Chicago Ted said:I did. I'm almost done that, I just need to do the last Thieves Guild Mission.zipzod said:Who else had a character that was Champion of Cyrodiil, Gray Fox, Fighters Guild Master, Archmage, and Listener?
The first thing I did was look for an immersive original first person role playing game experience. 120 hours in... I still didn't find it.Trezu said:What was the first thing you did in Oblivion 4 when you first exited the sewer? what did you do to make the game interesting and what was your first guild?. I did too and I felt it was pretty damn strange as well. I originally thought I'd have to choose carefully, but nope, I just ended up as the most famous/powerful/important non-king in the history of Cyrodil.Chicago Ted said:I did.
