Poll: What do you call split screen cheating?

The funny thing is that it's much easier to avoid (whatever you want to call it now) because of the wide and large nature of modern TVs. At the same time, there are much less split screen games.

Back in the 90's it was nearly impossible to avoid looking at the other players on a 20 something inch CRT, and sometimes to make out what was on your view.

Pretty sure there is no 'proper' terminology. But interesting topic, still.

That's what my friends and I use anyway.
Screen cheating doesn't really sound right.

I normally call it screen peeking. Followed by calling the offender an asshat. Thats why Im glad my current residence has several tvs. System link ftw.

We call it Screen Watching.

We also call it Bloody Painful as the one who is watching tends to get punched. Hard. It may be mean, but it sure as hell is a good deterrent!

I've only ever heard "screen watching". The phrase seemed to be innate in gamers I know.

Don't really consider it cheating. I don't even consider camping cheating, as it requires strategy to pull off. I do, however, have something snarky to say when I tag a cheater with a head shot

I don't call it cheating. I call it using your resources. My brother and I did that to each other all the time whenever we play vs split screen. To us it was a challenge of wits and timing, but to others is was a challenge of how fast can we piss them off.

I could never play FPS game using split-screen. I think it's perfectly OK because I'd always play NFS or a co-op game using split-screen. It's hella fun though if the game is right and the T.V. big enough.

Screen watching when we're serious about it which is rare, and affectionately "Screen peeping" at all other times..."stop peeping my screen".
