Oh, and falling, I managed to survive a whole cavern once, low health near the end. What killed me? Gravity.

I've only died once from lava. That's probably because I play on peaceful mostly. I'd like to play normal, but damn it monster spawning out of nowhere and blowing me up as I try to mine, and only having one mine right now that only has a narrow entrance as a shaft, which fills to the rim with creepers every day is not fun.

On an unrelated note, does the game normally crash so much? it says the java program itself fails, and it does this a lot. I'm wondering if I should've installed 64-bit java.

Mostly skeletons and creepers lately. I was trying to make a gigantic tree fortress, and accidentely fell during daytime. I figured I was all right, then a creeper exploded. I survived, and another one exploded. A third creeper reduced me to half a heart left, upon which a fourth creeper finished me off.

I use a lot of lava when I build random fancy crap, probably why it kills me so much.

Creepers, mother f'ing creepers. Silent bastards like to sneak up on me when I'm super deep underground. Scared me shitless one night I turned my character around to scoop up some lava and when I turned back I was great with a screen full of creeper and an explosion shortly after that flung me into a wall.

Was kinda cool because I was actually pretty disoriented immediately after. It took out some of my torches so I re-lit em and was like "dayum" at the crater it had left.

Creepers is my #1 cause of death, lol. I can handle everything else with my diamond sword + bow. Often times it's when I'm running from a group of them, and I run into a spider, which knocks me back into them, leaving me nowhere to run.

I really ought to look where I am going, lol.

I've been killed by creepers only a couple times. So all I can say is Gravity is a harsh mistress.

I built a sky path to increase my survival rate but when building I fell off quite a lot >.<

I said creepers in the poll but I just remembered how many times I drown. I spend a hell of a lot of time underwater fixing things and I always want to push my time underwater to the limits, and then if you do start drowning you're constantly pushed back under, helpless. Horrible way to die, and probably most common... short of a mate in my server griefing me.

My own damn carelessness.
I go into the 'zone' and kill myself in any number of ways.
Like jumping into lava, into pits, getting startled and disoriented when attacked by a skeleton, etc.

Falling and mining straight up into lava. I get all nervous whenever i see a drop or lava

lava, after that blind sided by fucking creepers. that doesn't happen to often now that i have my diamond sword, iron armor, and butt load of arrows. nothing can touch me.

lava sure can tho. it stings the most becuase often its in such a way that all my item fall back into the lava and i don't get SHIT.

Little known fact; Slimes are still in Peaceful difficulty. Had that happen quite a few times.

But for the most part, lava. I play on peaceful because I play on a labtop, and the absence of a mouse and keyboard make the game tricky during fights.
