I'm most excited for the Warhammer 40k MMO.
I forgot, which one is Warhammer 40K? The One with advanced techno-mystical forces duking it out in generic powered armor in a sort of sci-fi/fantasy way, or the pure fantasy about alot of Dungeon's and Dragon's?
The sci-fi/fantasy way. Except its so much more awesome than that. And generic? That sounds like heresy to me...
Whats that I smell? I believe 'tis the smell of your BULLSHIT! Hehehehehehehe!

In all seriousness though, I'd think the powered armor in 40K would be alot better if it actually did it's job and protected the user. Or if they had Jet-Packs. And were made from the same alloy a Iron Mans. Now that would be Kick-Ass!
Well they do have jet packs. And can teleport and lots of snazzy things. Also protects the user, depending on what other race you're fighting off. And Iron Man? He is no Space Marine.
No, but Iron Man's armor is alot more freakin powerful. So much so, that if he got into a fight with a 40K Space Marine the fight would be over in less than a minute because Iron Man ripped out the said Space Marines power armor power supply with his bare armored hands. :D
A Space Marine's armour does not have a power supply, it would just absorb anything thrown at it by Iron Man and then the Space Marine would turn around and chainsaw Iron Man's face off.

While The Old Republic is going to be my favourite thing forever, this concept of a 40k MMO excites me.

Ummm...You do know why it's called Power Armor right? It's not because it's it's alot more powerful than regualr armor (though power armor usually is)it's because it ARMOR POWERED BY A POWER SOURCE. Secondly, have you seen what Iron Man' suit can withstand? Punches from the Hulk, laser blasts, shit loads of TNT, and a bunch of other stuff. Plus he can fly at super sonic speeds! A group of marines against Iron Man? Yes. A single marine? In your 40k infused dreams.

Cataclysm. The Old Republic might be great for Star Wars fans, but I honestly couldn't care less about George Lucas or anything he has ever done, ever.

Cataclysm promises to be yet another above average expansion for WoW, which shows no signs whatsoever of slowing down it's world domination. Also, I'm not about to change games when I have 8 level 80 characters and over 400 days played in WoW.

Agreed. Let us get back on topic.

So, what do you think about DC UNiverse Online?

I think it'll be OKAY, but wont be the Super Hero MMO I've been looking for, especially since the balacing issues and lack of polish for Champions Online have really eaten away at alot of my confidence for a more than decent Super Hero MMO.

I have to agree about Champions Online. After City of Heroes/Villains I was really looking forward to Cryptic flexing their wings and seeing what they would do with it but it was so disappointing. It really shattered my interest in current MMOs, that and what happened to Mythic's Warhammer MMO.

But I haven't really looked into DC Universe, the DC super heroes were never that appealing to me, I always preferred Marvel.

Why? They both have similiar characters.

I'm not sure really. I think that when I was growing up I was just exposed to more of the Marvel characters, the X Men, Spiderman, The Fantastic Four and Iron Man. I've always loved the X Men. The DC characters always just seemed quite uninteresting for the most part.

From that list, Cataclysm, though I'm very interested in Blizzards unnamed "Next-gen MMO".

On that list, probably Final Fantasy XIV, though I'm also excited about the Torchlight MMO coming up.

Like who? If I may ask something else, you say you are a fan of Ironman, yet you believe(d) a space marine from Warhammer 40K could take him on a one on one fight? I believe I'm something of yours I said I smelled earlier...

Superman for one, his character can do anything it wants and never fails for the most part and even then its quite rare. He's almost a giant Mary Sue, with a cape.

I am a fan of Iron Man, but I don't allow my preferences to dictate facts.. of fictional universes. A Space Marine would win because it is more powerful, not because I prefer it. I don't really like Space Marines all that much anyway, I'm more of an Eldar fan. Xenos, woo!

Dont all hero's for the most part never fail and when they do isnt it also quite rare?

I dont think Iron Man would win because I prefer it, he would win because he's more powerful than a single space marine. So in aother words, a 40K marine would win when a cold wind sweeps throughout hell! :D

Not all heroes. In the Jean Grey has dies countless times in the X Men. Cyclops has dealed with more lost love and mind screw stories I can count. Professor X is crippled, and it is implied he manipulates many of his so called 'friends'. The line between hero and villain is often blurred within the the Marvel Universe, and I just mentioned a few examples from the X Men.

And a Space Marine would win, not only his is armour, at the very least, as strong and durable as Iron Man's he is also genetically enhanced to deal with a hell of a lot more stress than Irom Man who only has his armour. Don't get me wrong, it would be one hell of an awesome fight to see and it would be close, but Space Marines are designed, created and manipulated to fight, and nothing else. If it was a fair fight the Space Marine would do it, but Iron Man could quite easily beat him if he is lucky or the odds slightly stacked in his faovur. It would be a glorious battle.

Exactly. But these elements are not limited to Marvel, they permeate throughout the comics industry. So this argument is weaker than cheap beer.

Dude. All Ironman has to do is get his regular armor, pick up the space marine (he can. H'es picked up heavier stuff), fly into the air, and throw the marine around until his suit breaks. If that doesnt convince you, all Iron Man has to do is equip his Hulk Buster armor and rip the marine in half (not that he would, he'd probably just knock the marine out. I just listed this as a way to illustrate the hulk busters power) because if anything can go toe-to-toe with the Hulk, it can go toe-to-toe with pretty much anything.

It wasn't an arguement so much as to why DC is better than Marvel it was an arguement as to why I prefer Marvel to DC. I don't doubt DC has its own quirks and stories but I've just had more interest in Marvel due to growing up with certain cartoons from Marvel. From what I've seen in DC it isn't different enough for me nor does it appeal to me to the degree that DC does.

But we could at least agree that it would be an interesting fight to watch.
