Nvidia 9600GT (OC'd in the box, 512mb DDR3). I'll move into the GTX range this year, but I want to change the case and PSU first.

Still, I can run everything that's out on its highest settings so I'm not particularly in a hurry.

I used to have a GeForce 8600 GT. Never understood why that card didn't get more love than it did, because it was pretty awesome at the time in terms of price/performance/power use. When I replaced it last year, I gave it to my friend, since he was trying to play games on his gimpy old 7300, but he managed to fry it somehow. So much for that idea.

Now I have a Radeon 4770 instead, which I've been pretty happy with. Catalyst Control Center is complete junk compared to the Nvidia Control Panel, but since I rarely have to use it, I'll get over it, because the card itself works well. Nvidia may have pretty good high end stuff at the moment, but the power use and heat output of them is just depressing. I can crank up most games I play to max on this thing even at 1920x1200 without the fan going over ~1400 rpm and the temperature still low, so it doesn't sound like a plane is taking off in my bedroom every time I fire up a game.

I have an ATI 4870 currently (The card I got with my first ever 'proper' gaming PC. The Graphics Card and Power Supply are the two things I haven't changed so far). I'm thinking on getting a 5870 or maybe a 5890 when the price comes down.

Two 9600 GT's. My last was an Ati Radeon x1950 Pro, very nice card, but everytime I tried to update the drivers they'd never install properly and had to revert to the ones that came with it.

nVidia GeForce 9400GT.
Very cheap, but much more worth the price I got it for.

My old smelly comp has a Nvidia 7800 GS 256MB APG card.
My newer "gaming rig" (it's not that great, but good enough for me) has a Radeon 4870 1GB in it. I've liked both cards.
