Hate. Tennessee summers are hot, miserable assholes. I don't mind the cold but ultimately prefer Autumn. If there was a place where it was late October all the time I'd go there and never return.

I can't stand it. I work outside so it becomes even more annoying. Where I work we have to wear long black pants, even if we're outside in 90+ degree heat. That's Fahrenheit, but even when I'm not working I can't stand it. The humidity that makes your clothes stick to your body. That dirty sticky feeling you get after having sweat cover every inch of your body. FUCKKEN SUNBURN! I like swimming, I like pools, I like waterparks. But I can't stand summer.

Give me winter any day, thick coats hot coco, hell yeah. Autumn is great, you get a mix of cold days warm days and fewer and fewer hot days. Spring is okay too, but sad cause you know summer (mother freaking summer) is coming like a freight train.

Summer weather just burns my skin so much....
I prefer Winter since at least I can wear more cloths if I'm cold.

I hate it. I really can't deal with the heat well at all.

Thing is, it's much easier to warm yourself up in winter than it is to cool yourself down in summer.

I prefer winter. When it's cold, there's always something I can do about it. When it's hot, there's a limit to what's effective. My advice: stay indoors, don't move a muscle if you don't have to and try to keep the heat from driving you crazy.

hmm temperate wise i'm personally indifferent to it. Money wise it means i need to put the Air Conditioner on during real hot days to cool the room and make sure my comp doesn't get too hot.

Hmm the only bonus i can think for me personally is swimwear. Women in bikinis and other types of swimwear i guess. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye in my case heh.

Economically there is the tourist dollar, however in summer hot spots like Bondi Beach and King cross especially at night, the crime rate tends to do up abit. Drunk people walking around at night, etc etc.

I really like summer. As I mentioned in a thread about what people do in summer yesterday, it is the season of walks around the Lake District, barbecues with friends and cold cider in beer gardens.

There's gotta be a breeze though. 24C without a breeze is just a blast furnace. 24C with a cool breeze? Bliss.

I dislike it because I get sun burnt and sweat. Also a lot of people smell bad.

Hate it, can't stand it, wish it would go away and let us have an extended fall or spring.

I'm not someone who does well in heat.

That said, my region of the US has had an incredibly mild summer thus far. It hasn't even got to the triple digits, which for the past....I'unno 5-6 years, we'd have already been experiencing those kinds of temps since May.

The only thing I don't like about summer is the fear of fires. I'm kind of lucky that newspapers are dying and I've been forced to take up commercial work. I never want to cover another Black Saturday again. My parents live in a firezone but they spend bad days with my sisters in the city. I still love the beach in summer, and surfing in only shorts, not a 3/4 full length wettie with boots.

Is what i should be saying, but in all honesty i'm happy when its overcast. I don't mind it being warm or mild but when its goddamn hot or humid I lose my shit. the reason why i won't go to Spain, Australia etc.

Like with every season, I'm indifferent with it. They are all somewhat equal in their own aspects. Only one thing is sure, when it's winter everyone want's it to be summer, and when it's summer everyone want's it to be winter. Edit: I have to remind you that our summer is basically winter but with a lot more rain.

I absolutely hate summer, especially on the coast, the humidity is what I hate most, more than the heat, summer was tolerable in the town i went to uni in because it had little humidity due to the altitude, but oh god at sea level, it's horrid. That and i've always been a cold weather person, partly because I give off a lot of body heat and find it really hard to cool down

It's nice to see the sun every now and then, but Summer is just too bloody warm. Give me a nice cold Winter any day over Summer.

In no specific order.
There's nothing you can do about being hot, in the winter there are ways to get warm, i hate insects flying in my face constantly, i hate sunburn, i hate birds in the garden waking me up, i hate the neighbours kids screaming and making constant noise, i hate everybody mowing their lawns, i hate the sun making it difficult to see monitors, i need the window open for air flow but i need the curtain closed so i can see, then if it's windy aswell the window gets blown around so i can't have the window open, i suffer from extremely bad hayfever so it feels like most of every year is torture, due to that i hate flowers, grass and trees, so whenever anyone starts talking about how wonderful it all is it makes me mad.

I like snow and ice, it's lovely.

I like it a lot, well as long as summer is actual summer over here. After the long months of grey sky and near constant rain it's like I'm a battery that has ran dry and can finally take in some new energy. I don't care about the heat: sure it can be annoying as well, but taking shelter from the heat, feeling lazy over the course of the day, only to really awake when twilight sets in, is a really fun feeling.

Honestly, I find every season has its strong points, even in the misery of Fall you can find beautiful colors and you can come together with family and friends more.

The only thing that I really hate, is that there don't actually seem to be any seasons whatsoever lately. Everything just turns into the same grey drab: winters aren't cold any longer, it just rains nonstop; springs don't gradually warm up anymore: one day you have 20°C then a few days later you have 5°C with frost overnight; summers aren't warm any longer, but just rainy as well.

Heck, this year in Belgium, we have almost no bugs whatsoever because of the aforementioned frost in late spring. This could seem like a blessing at first sight (no mosquitos), but there's a complete lack of pollinators as well.

I really fucking hate it. I sweat quite a lot due to my very long and very thick hair, so I always look like a mess during the summers and have to shower every damn day I'm going out. Try wearing a woolen hat, scarf and cape during the summer and you'll how I feel all the time. D:

Winter is awesome. At least you can do something to prevent the cold. Against heat you've got no chance.

Loathe Summer. Australian Summers are way hotter then what you American's are used to. I'm beginning to loathe Winter as well. Too freaking cold.
I'd like to hear the Australian's definition of "too freaking cold", because it's not unusual to have several weeks of -30C (-22 Fahrenheit) in Finland.

Fun fact: when you're riding a bicycle when it's -40C (can't be sure about the temperature because mercury freezes at -39) you have to blink your eyes a lot, otherwise the water in your eyeballs starts to freeze.

Needless to say, I'm a summer person.

When I think of Summer, I imagine Christmas and barbecues.

The first is OK, the second is divine.

The heat is pretty good as well.
Christmas in the summer!?

Strange seeing that, being from Canada.

I like moderate temperatures, but both winter and summer have their cons for me. So, I'd say they are even.
