I'm not a Swede, I'm a Geat! Stop bunching us together with those Swedes and Gutes!

(Europe, and a dig at our tendency to split ourselves up in ever tinier fractions) :3

I dig this place. It can be rather a rickety ride at some times, but it works. It's fairly pleasant for a godless, polarbear-ridden socialist wasteland, I must say.
Furthermore, like it or not, we're Europeans. We happen to be stuck with each other on this particular hunk of soil. Nothing to mope around about. Although we've played rather nicely together the last 50 years for a change, haven't we? :3

(P.S. There aren't any polar bears. Only a few wolves being poached to extinction by compensating yokels. *Le sigh* )

Although my native English blood is threatening to burst from my eyes for even using the option on the poll I guess I'm technically European going by the voting list.

I am English. The Europe option will just piss people off. Governments like europe. People do not.
This poll is called "Where are you from?".
The options in the poll is names of different continents.
From what you guys have written i am guessing you guys are talking about the EU (European Union) which is not in the poll, there is a difference between the "European Union" and "The continent of Europe".

Not every country in Europe has joined the European Union (Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Russia, Vatican City and others ).
So yes, England and Sweden does indeed belong to the continent of Europe, and to boot Sweden and England has both joined the European Union, which i personally think was a stupid mistake.

And before i forget i guess i should mention that i live in Norway, Europe. After all that is what this poll was about. :]

I'm from Washington state in America. Yes, We get lots of rain (I think its raining now actually) and there are a lot of hipsters. the city I live in is the original Vancouver, so screw you you name stealing Canadians. I'd rather say I was from the proud country of Cascadia, but unfortunately, seceding is frowned upon in the US.
I'm from Washington state in America. No, we don't get lots of rain, its a desert. Also I support The secession of Cascadia then we can seceding from you and form Columbia.

The OP is a Yank.... Did you expect anything else?

[sub][sub][sub]A Yank from NJ, wow...[/sub][/sub][/sub]
You are both from Europe so you are European.
Yeah, well as a Canadian, I guess you and I are both North American so there's no point for there to be a United States option on the poll?

Bah, I get it, there's a limit to poll options. Still, might be nice to see it more regionally divided.

And on the topic of geography, I've always been curious: Where does Russia count as being? Cause it extends from what I'd think of as Europe all the way to the Pacific, so... yeah.

I've posted but I never actually wrote where I was from.

I'm from the UK, so Europe (no, I don't mind being from Europe). I can quite comfortably consider myself quintessentially English, drink my ale and tea, etc... and still be happy about our membership of the EU.

Russia is a little tricky to place actually. Russia is mostly European and Asian or Eurasian if you will. Most of the people in Russia live in the European part along with the Russian capital city Moscow, most of Russian history lies in Europe. Russia is also a part of "The Council of Europe" which is promoting cooperation between all European countries.

I am pretty sure Russia is a European country, although i am not 100% certain.

Russia is in Eurasia, technically speaking, since it spans both Europe and Asia.

OT:I'm from the US. Nowhere specific, move around too much to actually become attached to a certain state. Technically, I'm from Louisiana, because that's where I was born, but I am nothing like a person from Louisiana.

Also Washington state in America. And I think it just quit raining here. It's a miracle! The hipsters are still abound though.
And also, here here to the sentiment on Washington DC.

Another one of these polls. The poll seems a bit screwed up since you have a few nations listed(USA, China, Australia) and all the rest are continents. That seems rather unfair and rather stupid. Why compare continets to nations?

Cold, snowy, polar bear[footnote]Please note that we currently lack cold temperatures, a significant amount of snow and have no polar bears whatsoever[/footnote] infested Norway here.
Yup, just chilling out with the rest of Scandinavia. In the Nordic Countries. In Europe. On planet Earth.
