They are still active. I think the operation you are referring to is this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_EntebbeTdc2182 said:These guys, because I vaguely remember hearing about them doing some pretty bad ass shit back in the 70s, though I don't know if they still are active.redisforever said:Israel FTW! Seriously, most of Israel's exports are military tech. That's what we do.
That wasn't exactly my belief but if you say the frogmen arent as elite as I believed them to be, I have no real arguments against it, so I guess I don't really have any reason not to believe you (other than the fact that I'd still be scared shitless if one of them took offense).O maestre said:you forgot the opklaringsbataljonen their whole job consists of going on suicide missions on short notice, because of this most of our casualties come from this division.CFriis87 said:Well Denmark has two of them, Frømændene and Jægerkorpset, which are basically our versions of the Navy SEALs and the SAS, except with viking blood!
on a side note the frogmen dont even compare to the SEALs or the SAS. they have little or no recognizance training at all, and have never been used in proper military operations. ill grant you that their training is difficult and demanding, but they are hardly an elite force comparable with the even our own huntsman corps(jægerkorpset) which BTW are truly badass, and have trained with the SAS and the SEALs, as well as having been deployed in numerous engagements and spec ops.
OT i am going to give it to the SAS... because of modern warfare
They wouldn't use guns ... they didn't even want to use bows and arrows because that was considered "Cowardly" ... the reason they got fucked over by the Thebans was because of this ... they ran into battle and pretty much got bullied by front line archers and surrendered 3 days later .. that was the beginning of the end for sparta.Kwaku Avoke said:Spartans. Not even joking if they had guns they would be the elite.
