I haven't one... Yet. (I'm seriously starting to consider viewing an episode or two of this show. Surely if it's this popular, then there has to be more to it than just simply being a popular meme.)

That... was actually genuinely humorous! And truthfully, I wasn't expecting such a deep, baritone voice from that cream colored pony, either. Made for a pretty good laugh overall!

Ahh, I see. Well, still made for a rather satisfying chuckle all the same. If anything, I still think it's worth investing time into an episode if just for curiosity's sake. My niece adores the show and ponies, (left a moderate collection of the toys at our house,) so if there's enjoyment to reap forth from both audiences, then what's not to love, right?

Exactly my thoughts when I first started watching. If you can make it through the first two episodes and enjoy it, your set. The first two are pretty much a summery of what you will find for the rest of the season.
There will probably be some parts that seem a bit too childish. But they will grow on you.

Where did this all come from? I have no problem with this show, in fact I plan to watch it sometime soon. The thing is that before last week I'd never heard of it. Then out of freaking nowhere it's an off day for the internet if I don't see at least 3 ponies or pony references. This sort of popularity doesn't come out of freaking nowhere!

No, it's the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, an animated half-hour TV show created by Hasbro Toys.

No, this is not some sort of ironic hipsterism, unless you call 4chan a den of hipster innanity. Most people watch it because they genuinely enjoy the show. The characters are dynamic and fairly non-sterotypical, any musical numbers fit well into the show, the animation is good and the plots are so well written, it's possible to forgive the writers for the moral heavy-handedness of the endings.

And no, this is not some side affect of watching anime. Is it not possible that people who watch My Little Ponies actually enjoy the TV program, for reasons unrelated to anime, manga, Western animation or children's card games?
