I am asexual.

ok man, im seeing this term used alot in the couple other similar threads. i think i need a very clear definition of what exactly this term mean.

Asexuality is both having no interest in sex and not being sexually attracted to people.

I think I'd put it down to not really being eager to hook up with people just to get a bit of action. A girlfriend really doesn't appeal to me as just a sex toy.

Could be that my peers don't seem to know how to start a relationship without a get drunk - connect faces aproach.

I am a person that likes to keep my life as un-complicated as possible..Women get in the way of this.

I have had one serious relationship where I was with the girl for 4 years, lived with her for 2 of those years. Looking back now they were easily the worst years of my life. It wasn't a bad relationship, just normal boyfriend/girlfriend but living with someone just does my head in after a while..I like my own space too much and if you don't want to let a woman in they get angry and say "you don't pay enough attention to me" or things along those lines and I just can't be bothered with all that stuff.

Well that was 2 years ago and I have never been happier being single..My life in so simple now and I like it that way. I also do what I want when I want, which is difficult in a relationship.

I'm gay and not out of the closet yet, and wouldn't feel right dating a guy still closeted.

It sucks liking people, but they never like you back. It hardly builds your confidence when the only girls who like you are the beautiful ones, but only tell you when they're in another relationship, or reaaaaaaaally fat girls that don't look attractive. Call me shallow? Yeah, so is everyone else on this damn planet. What can you do?

Haha, that IS shallow. But kudos for being honest! So...if you're a nice guy, you obviously haven't met the right gal. I know that sounds extremely cliche, but the woman for you is out there. Maybe advertise yourself a bit more.
What do YOU think is the problem? If you're good looking, genuine, nice, looking for a proper relationship...then you're either approaching the wrong girls, or something else is the matter.

i dont like non gamers, ive been w/ non gamers, and all the things that were 'cute' @ first now becomes annoying, like the NAGGING 'why are u ALWAYS on the xbox/pc (insert system of choice)?? well maybe if u actually PLAYED w/ me, and stopped complaining, u might see the appeal. and also, single lady gamers are like bigfoot-- ppl CLAIM they exist, and some ppl even claim to have seen 1, but ive never found 1,(and ive seen UFOs) and this is after YEARS of eharmony, match.com, yahoo personals, and any other site u can imagine. no lady gamer 4 me, so no lady at all 4 me. i hung up my dating card long ago =/

Assuming you're a normal healthy human being living in a fairly developed country why are you not fulfilling your biological imperative of procreating and churning out babies?

Still reeling over that whole thing, and that's been about a year and a half ago. She wasn't just my girlfriend, but my best friend.

I'd say a combination of picky (not that picky, but try living in the buckle of the bible belt being a metal head agnostic that doesn't do drugs or drink, and then try and find someone that is even close to the same), low self esteem, and the old cliche 'haven't found the right person yet'.
