HELLO? DIO? AXEL RUDI PELL? JOURNEY? (wait, what?) IRON MAIDEN? HELLOWEEN? DREAM THEATER? REMEMBER THESE GUYS? come on people, they rocked! where did the golden years go? it is up to Dragonforce to reclaim those lost years, i wish they would do a much better fucking job about it though.
there are two lead guitarists because their solos are too complex to do alone, Sam and Herman Lee (asian dude with seriously long hair, wtf?), and they both can "shred"
*snip*
Emphasis mine.
I would argue that Iron Maiden still rocks. At least they did last summer when I went to a concert with them again. And it would be silly to claim that DF in any way are up to the standards of Dio and Maiden. And the golden years are called the 80's.
Iron Maiden also have a shit load of guitar players but I think they manage to take advantage of it and make memorable music.
Also: Journey?! For real?
i don't think you get where i'm coming from here.
of course dragonforce isn't up in Pantheon of Rock drinking liquor of the gods alongside the worlds greatest power metal bands, that's a complete load of bull. i'm not saying that you said i said that though, i'm just saying i didn't say that. plus, i also said dragonforce needs to do a much better fucking job at what they're doin.
what i was trying to get at is that god damn rap and hip-hop made people forget about good music (namely b/c their brains got blown out during a drive by shooting..... while they were filming the music video) that's why i listed those bands. yes, iron maiden still rocks, but i feel like no one arund me cares, wtf? they're awesome! kanye east or whatever the hell his name is can go suck a cock while two drumstick are inserted into his asshole!!! Journey's up there as a joke, and b/c of their songSeparate ways (worlds apart) it's got metal riffs and the rock opera of power metal, everything else is sterotypical 80's.
yeah, iron maiden's got like (1,2,3,4, ) 5 guitarists, and they don't all play the same riff every song either, lol.
but the more i've been complaining about rock's downfall, i'm actually starting to see an uprising, which i think started either when the GH franchise came out or when AC/DC's album Black Ice came out. i'm seeing more kids at school wearing rock t-shirts, GH is over the top popular with GHWT and Metalica expansion, better songs are on the radio, BRUTAL LEGEND BEST GAME EVER COMING IN ROCKTOBER, and i've been seeing less rap and hip-hop in general
