I'm not one hundred per cent certain, but either my motherboard or RAM is the weakest link in my machine. One or other of them is ever so slightly on the fucked side, either that or they just don't like each other very much...

eh none of my parts are weak, but i would definitely say my 660w power supply and my motherboard are probably my two weakest links out of the lot, and then next thing to upgrade would be my crossfired hd 5770's into hopefully a 6950 or the such, don't quite know when or if that'll happen, but for now my computer handles everything i throw at it just fine.

the only thing it even SLIGHTLY chugs at was fable III with everything on high, in the middle of brightwall village where there would be like 30 people walking around while i'm trying to do stuff..that shit would lag just a bit.

My motherboard is dragging my PC down to gaming hell. It's an 6yo Gigabyte with DDR2.

I keep telling myself I'm gonna upgrade it soon, but september won't come fast enough so the temperatures here can be lowered(there is around 35+ degrees here every day).
i'm sorry but maybe i just don't get it..what does the temperature of the weather have to do with you upgrading your motherboard..??

Going to have to upgrade to 1tb soon

Well,I planned to do a big upgrade for my whole computer during the summer. But because of the heat I can't really do that(being a bit overweight)I sweat a lot and I need to carry the chassis to the computer shop. This is why I have to wait for a more "cooler" weather in order for me to do the upgrade.

I made some poor choices when I partitioned my hard drive to install linux. Now I have to run all of my games on a pitiful 100GB. It means I am constantly uninstalling/reinstalling/downloading stuff. Good thing steam is pretty handy for that.

RAM. I'm rocking a whole 2 gigs of DDR2. I bet none of you can match that. My computer is a beast.

the processor is highly mediocre
Highly mediocre describes my CPU as well. Still better than my RAM.
I have 3gb of RAM, sorry man.

I would have to say that my processor skips a bit, even if I'm playing a simple game like Civ III. The FPS drops sometimes when things move to fast.

I actually don't think there's a weak link in mine, though I don't really play many high-spec games. That said it runs the Witcher and Crysis OK.

My processor is way behind the game. Everything is dated but it is the worst.

My rig is a few years old, but I can still play most games on max settings. Personally, I think the weakest link are the fans. They sound like there's a jet engine taking off in the room.

Back in the day (two years ago) we frankensteined my desktop, getting it a new graphics card, more RAM, and a new power box to run it all. It was fine for awhile, but now it's slowing down considerably. Fallout New Vegas was fine-ish, and it still kicks the crap out of TF2, but unfortunately Skyrim is going to be a little out of my reach, I feel. :( Sad day.

That damn DVD-reader only works when it feels like it, and even then it only works half the time.

Guess why I spend so much money on Steam...

My laptop (my only computer) has an intel mobile 4 series express chipset family... In other words, I cant play most games. And the ones I can run at ass* frames per second. Good news is that I recently won some cash on the lottery so I'm shopping around for something better.

*ass being anywhere from 1-8

RAM. A 400MHz FSB on a 2.6GHz processor isn't doing anybody any favors, that's for sure. Which, I suppose, means that the next thing I should upgrade is the board, but eh, it works for me for now.
