It's funny - I just asked a friend this question the other day. I'm good. Sometimes I'll try being bad in a game but can never follow through. I need to keep my little corner of the universe a clean and happy place, even if it's a virtual corner. I'm such a goody-goody, plus I'm a couple people's moral compass. If I go bad, they go bad (and they'd never let me live it down - all future dinner-times would be filled with "I told you so"'s).

I don't choose to be good or evil. I just make choices and depending on the positions the game puts me in , I'll end up something . Usually it's neutral ish.
That's what they made choices for..not for damn achievements.

If I wanted to be evil, I'd just go and do it in real life. I can't be good and save orphans every single day now, can I? So I choose good. Every time.

Man, I've currently got three characters in Oblivion, two in Fallout, two in Farcry 2, four in Mass Effect 2, and four in Dragon Age. I give each one a backstory and set of personal motivations. I work all the angles.

But I have to say, being a ruthless and power-hungry mage in Dragon Age? So much friggin fun.

I will almost always have one evil playthrough and one neutral playthrough, but more often than not, I will make the "good" choice the majority of the time, unless the evil choice a.)isn't really that evil and b.)gets me something really good (i.e. top-tier armor or weapon).

I prefer to play good the first time, because it tends to be easier, then if I enjoy the game, I'll play through as a complete *****, murdering all who stand in my way.

How about you?
Hehe[small]hehe[/small]. Agreed on this one. The first time round good just feels... right. Although one difference between me and you is that if I get bored the first time round then I finish as an evil mass murderer to rival Kratos. I play evil to spice things up.

If I'm doing a 'good' run, I'm PURE good, no wishy washy 'fuck you' at the end. I will, however, go on a mudering rampage, then load my last save. In fact, I'll do that constantly throughout the game (ensuring the 'goodness' of my character is never tained), because acting like I'm not a homicidal maniac for an hour makes me look at everyone as if they're squishy blood bags ripe for the stabbing.

My mistake, that's all people are in the first place.

As a side note: it's interesting to know that Bioshock 2 has a neutral path. I haven't bought it yet, but likely will when the price drops.

I generally go for good, but I'm currently replaying Fallout 3, trying to keep it neutral or evil, just to see if it makes any difference. Verdict: no, not really.

It depends on the game or just how i'm feeling or if the games pissed me off. I chose good on fallout 3 because i started it as bad but i blew up atom before i knew where i was going, so i wandered around the wastelands for hours, got bored and started the game as a good guy. On fable 2 i constently switched between them because its SOOOOOOOOOOO easy to make your karma go up or down. On Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic i went evil because sith are awesome especially with dual lightsabers. On infamous i went evil purely for better upgrades, although i switched a bit when i first started until i realised you had to get all side quests complete to unlock full level powers. I went good on bioshock cause who wants to kill little kids?

I wish more games had grey-area moral choices available.

Mostly I trend towards being a good guy, because in a game that has a moral choice system more than likely there are characters I'm attached to that I don't want to hate me. And that's just how I tend to go generally. But I chose the bottom option, because I like to see how things will go both ways. I like getting all endings.

I usually pick the evil route, mainly its because its something I can't be in real life. I also think that being the villain is way cooler than playing the part of the hero.

I'm a nice guy. Everywhere I go I live to serve others. I'm not a butler, no, but I do good things for others. Sometimes, people bug me. Sometimes, people bug me... alot. But I never let it get to me. Why? Because I'm the most evil mother fucker in any video game that lets me get away with it. It's how I let out stress. Before Fable, (the first good/evil choice game I played) I could sometimes be a dick, or lash out. But not anymore. People like the new Primo. He's a good guy. But not in video games...

I'm just going to go on record as saying that I would never want a "warm feeling in my heart and shit". Why am I pawing through my own fecal matter, and why is it warm?
What, I'm the only one who does that? Also, wouldn't it be more concerning if your feces was cold? Body fluids tend to be pretty warm in my extensive experience.

Good first time to do all the side missions and get as much as i can from the game story wise then complete opposite on second playthough. I never really play the grey area its too indecisive

Evil all the way.
I stick to that path for a good amount of time. The only reason I crawl over to the "Good" choices is just to see both outcomes of the story. But I favor the Evil game play a lot more.
