Nah, but don't be afraid of user groups. We don't bite...[sub]Usually....[sub]Unless you're into that kind of thing...[sub]In which case you should make a user group for it! =D[sub]Call it "Masochists of The Escapist"![sub]Actually, don't do that.[sub]Might come close to breaking the "No Pornography" rule.[sub]Wait, where was I going with this again?[sub]Man, I could kill for some tacos right about now...[sub]Definitely not true; I had a lot of spaghetti earlier this evening.[sub]I wonder how long I can keep doing this for?[sub]Let's not find out.[sub]Just tried previewing this. Jesus Christ, this is smaller than one pixel on my laptop now.[sub]Okay, I'll stop now.[sub]Seriously.[sub]I mean it.[sub]Stopping...[sub]Now![sub]Hah! Gotcha![sub]You thought I was done, didn't you![sub]Nevar![sub]Okay, I'll actually stop now.[sub]Siriusly.[sub]Gonna respond to someone else now.[sub]Bye![sub]No, you hang up first![/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub]

First of all, getting referenced in those kind of threads is
very difficult. I've done a tonne of things here[footnote]Including but not limited to: Winning a Ratings War, helping out with various community projects and guides, running the Escapist Badge Hunters user group, being featured in the Community Spotlight for said user group and moderating these forums.[/footnote] and I know of at most three or four occasions when I have been mentioned in the past five years. And one of those was only after a conversation with another user in said thread.
Second, so what if people don't post about you in those threads? Just because you don't get mentioned in a thread doesn't mean that you aren't recognised by others. For what it's worth, I personally recall your username and avatar even though I don't think we have ever previously spoken. Chances are others who have had long discussions with you notice you even more. Even if you aren't significant enough to people to make a mention, that doesn't mean you haven't had any impact at all.
TL;DR: Stop worrying about it. Makes your time on this site a whole lot easier. =P

You will always be known by me for the funniest thing I've read to date.
...and just as I'm done trying to paint myself as an almost-nobody to
Scarim Coral, you have to come along and ruin everything, dontcha? Because ruining everything is what you do best. Because you're a sober person. *glares, while shaking fist a little*
Though this does kind of support part of what I was trying to say anyway. Our (mine and
Not The Bees') conversation consisted of only 5 posts more than two weeks ago, yet that made enough of an impact to make me always known to her. Chances are you (
Scarim Coral) have had much longer discussions with others than that.

Okay, I'm done with that really confusingly written paragraph where I used someone's response to aid a discussion with someone else. Time to actually respond to
Not The Bees' post:
I'm kind of proud of how much that post made you laugh. It doesn't beat one of my threads damaging another user's relationship,[footnote]http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/18.862661.21498083[/footnote] but it's definitely up there as one of my favourite recent moments here. =)

Years ago I was much more well known. Then life happened and my time spent here took a huge hit. Sadly, all I ever have interest in posting in anymore are silly little things like this.
But that's alright with me. The people I used to interact with are still here for the most part, so that's made it worth staying around.
...Who are you again? =P
