1. There better be variety and exploration into more obscure, niche games. No wimping out with just the popular AAA stuff that is played by everyone. Those are fine to start with, but actually give me more than just that.
2. Odds are, they will never go beyond just being topless. They are gaming at the same time as doing this, and really, the sex acts will never go beyond something softcore and vanilla. Honestly? That's all you have? If you are trying to appeal to the casual adult gamer, they are more than likely to look up regular porn and get more out of it. For the nerdier, hardcore adult gamer, odds are they'll either do that, or look up fanart of their favorite game characters. Topless game news coverage, LPs and reviews don't exactly seem to get me all hot and bothered. Especially when this will never go very much past topless gaming and the occasional lesbian kiss, if that at all. In this society, which is so much more infatuated with more hardcore sexual entertainment, especially to an audience that seems to be stereotyped as sexual deviants, it doesn't seem like the core gamer audience will really get much of what they offer.
3. The constant battle of insight vs. excite. The crux of their idea hinges on the perfect balance between appealing to a gamer's mind, with in depth review, analysis and coverage of video games, as well as their bodies with sensual, appealing imagery and acts. Striking this balance seems nigh impossible; if you focus too much on insight, then there's no point in having them be topless, and you can run a standard "girl gamer" website without having to focus on pornography, or even just a gaming site in general, with no focus on girl gamers (you can still be the founders, that's okay). If you focus too much on excite, the gamer side gets neglected, and at that point, you just have a standard porn site with nothing entirely special about it. But the thing is, doing both at just the right level seems impossible, combined with the "softcore" thing I mentioned above, doing anything more than gaming topless would mean a lack of any sex appeal other than seeing breasts. But getting into lengthy, detailed sex acts detracts from the game part of the website. It falls apart on either end.
4. At the end of all of this, let's say that they do focus on more obscure games. Let's say that they can balance the sex and gaming well. Let's say that they can even be hardcore, or even that the viewer doesn't mind or even prefers softcore (it isn't entirely dead, after all). Let's get right down to the thing that makes the world go round; money. Something in my gut tells me that accessing this site's content will require a monthly subscription, which is an issue with porn in general now; while porn companies try to wow with premium memberships, exclusive content and even access to sister sites, the simple fact of the matter is no smart person ever really pays for pornography. You google something you are looking for, you find it. With the rise of YouTube, more sites have opened up that offer free streaming of just about anything you want. Granted, the premium places do still have some advantages, such as video quality and the amount of content that can only obtained by a membership, but even those are hardly enough. And something tells me that a small gamer girl website that has hardly a handful of girls to call their own will not have the kind of backing, especially in terms of content, to ever match what these premium sites offer.
In closing...I'll keep my eye on the site. If it requires a membership, a paid membership at that, I'm out. If it offers free access, then I'll see how it holds up. Who knows? Maybe it will be complete, gamer pervert nirvana. But I'm skeptical at best. At the end of the day, though, I still have the entire rest of the internet to fill the hole.
