Here ya' go creepers, go nuts.

As for the rest of the community, I'll just join in by saying, "WWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA??"
We didn't want this. Although, I didn't say it's a bad thing, either.

I love the subtitle under this article.

I wish I could see it right next to the article about the evil developer who puts the horribly offensive sexist remark in the code for Dead Island and he how should be punished for it.

But I love how you can imply that the only reason the entire male population's minds and bodies haven't atrophied away into nothingness is because their tits and games were on different websites. Because that's totally not a sexist stereotype.

So can we at least call this one "even" for the next time someone connected to the games industry doesn't know who Susan B. Anthony is, or something? Please?

And this has relevence to anything said...why? Are you trying to make a point here? (if so then it's a very clumisy made and hard to understand one other than you apparantly equate someone believing that porn is degrading to jocks who beat up nerdy guys for being nerdy, not exactly a clear comparison to make).

Very simple and clear point. He's saying that their profession -- a choice they have made -- has left them devoid of dignity and self-respect.

A jock bullying a nerd might say the exact same thing.

Both are simply idiotic opinions with no basis aside from a personal judgement call. Both are completely invalid, and should not be stated as facts simply because the stater wishes or believes them to be true.

If the poster believes pornography to be a choice which removes all dignity and self-respect from someone, so too must the jock be true who believes being a book-loving flabby nerd to be a choice which robs the nerd of dignity and self-respect.

Either one is valid, or neither. PROTIP: neither.

You do this, ironically, while coming across as something of a judgemental twat yourself.

What gives you the moral high ground, the right, to look down on him for possessing an opinion you happen to disagree with?

It does make it hard for you to legitimately call someone out on someone for holding contempt for someone when you not only do exactly the same thing but actually go further than they do.

Whatever way you try to cut it you're being condescending whilst berating someone for being condescending (you see where this falls apart?).
It does not fall apart. Not one bit.
I do not have an opinion on the matter.
I may have an opinion as to whether or not entering the field of pornography might rob *me* of dignity and self-respect, but I do not at any time impose my opinion onto others.

That's the difference. That's a big difference. That's why I get to be as condescending as I want -- because I'm not looking down on someone for something that may or may not be bad for an individual, I'm looking down on someone *for being a twat*. These porn stars aren't going around shitting on anyone else for the choices they have or have not made, but this kid sure wasn't shy about shitting on the porn stars for their choices.

Let's liken this to violence, that's a simple analogy.
The use of force is never justified, except the use of force against those who would use force.
Follow that? Hitting someone is always bad, unless you are going to hit someone who is or was hitting someone else. Unless they were hitting someone else because that someone else was or is hitting someone.
The use of violence is only justifiable in the prevention or cessation of violence.

I'm using condescending judgmentalism in a similar manner here.

That may be why or that could be you projecting and cold reading with such ferocity that you instill fear in even the bravest of powerpoint presentations and psychics.
Honestly, I'm pretty damned right. It's a knack of mine, winnowing out the motivations and reasonings of others through sometimes severely limited evidence. I'm very, very rarely wrong... human minds all behave fairly similarly. There are slight variations of thought processes between individuals which can cause uncertainty, but in individual circumstances that may or may not be relevant. By taking a small sampling of past behaviors and responses to events it typically becomes rather simple to get a feel for how a given individual will think, how they will react to a certain stimulus, what their motivations for a certain action or statement were, by what route they came to a certain conclusion. Sometimes a few statements are enough to make accurate assumptions about some things -- particularly if those statements are emotionally charged or are about polarizing issues, as these things typically lead to people speaking more from.. well, to steal a bit from Steven Colbert, usually in those cases people speak more from the gut than the brain. What they say becomes less guarded, less filtered, and so gives a more clear picture of their inner.. brain.. stuff.
The poster will never come outright and say that he believes the act of sex to be degrading to the woman, but that belief lies active somewhere in his mind. His is a mind that wonders how a woman with any dignity or self-respect could allow someone to film that sort of thing being done to her, but never makes the connection that the things being done to her are being done by her just the same. The poster doesn't even understand his underlying sexism, or objectification of women, or belief that they are the weaker, submissive sex.

These are things the poster believes, though the poster may not realize them.

Now, with regards to THESE two porn stars? I'm not familiar with them. Maybe they *ARE* lacking in dignity and self-respect. I do not know them personally, and I lack sufficient information to reach a conclusion. All that I can conclude is that the poster also lacks sufficient information to reach any conclusion on the matter and so the poster's conclusion was not based upon any lack of dignity or self-respect in these two porn stars but rather in the poster's own prejudices against porn stars.

Given how neither of them seem to have a history in writing or journalism (and I doubt they'll even have that much in the way of charisma or wit on camera, from what I hear people don't watch porn for the acting and memorable dialogue) I somehow doubt that they'll live up to much in the way of any actual informative entertainment (more likely we'll probably get a weakly scripted version of what we see everywhere else but this time with a pair of surgically enhanced 32G's for your viewing pleasure).

If this was a pair of gaming journalists and reporters who thought they'd add a funny twist to what they do by doing it naked then that'd probably hold more promise, as a couple of porn stars who seem to have had the bright idea of cashing in on the lonely, dateless nerd stereotype I get the feeling that this will probably amount to little more than a flimsy context to have girls get paid to flash their tits on webcam.
Yeah. It's probably going to be terrible. I really do hope it's not, though, just to buck the trend, rock the boat a little. Just because I'd like to see it done, just once. I won't be holding my breath, but maybe I'll cross my fingers.

Because the best way to advance the cause of females in gaming and to let the world know you exists... is to show your tits. I'm surprised she isn't ashamed at how thinly veiled that excuse is. Then again she clearly not afraid of the thinnest veil of all, nothing.

Anyways, sex sells so why not market to the audience that likes games and boobs. As for me, they could have the best material in the world and I'd still avoid there site like the plague.

Also, the problem whit this idea is that when your doing something else and just happen to be naked, unless you get off on games it becomes less sexy and more just routine.

I thought we were over the sterotype taht all women on the internet were actually men.

In seriousness, Naked News has pretty much proven that adding nudity to anything equals profit. Men would volunteer for a root canal without the novacane to be worked on by a topless female dentist. It's just how we're wired, and I've seen too many fangirls drooling over pretty boys at anime cons to not know that wiring is in both genders. If these women want to be admired by fanboys and make a buck doing so, more power to them, and pitty the guys that feel the need to part with money to see nudity on the internet.

I don't even see any consistency in this, but I'll do my best to break down the points.
I don't know where you're getting a problem with consistancy from but I'll try my best to offer a response to your counter-arguements.

What? No, just no. That doesn't come anywhere NEAR the term gamer girl, if you used the general term. The ugly term for gamer girls, is they are fat, lonely, ugly depressed, socially awkward etc etc. Hence why people say "woo, you play games, but you're hot!" That is not true however, and never use it like that.
Have you ever tried searching 'gamer girl' on a Google image search (hell, even moderate safesearch and of the pictures were of attractive young women in their underwear with xbox remotes and chronic cases of duckface (also of note is trying a websearch under the same thing mostly came up with communities for hot gamer girls and even a modelling and social community).

I'd say that's fairly conclusive evidence that it's a huge part of the stereotype (if not the main focus of it).

What is this, I don't even...
Calm down, take your time and breathe slowly.

Again, no. Just...no.
I understand this is hard for you but you need to keep calm and stay with me here, you might actually be wrong about something.

Ah, the same way porn cashes in on the lonely nerds who can't get a girl right? I mean, that's what porn was made for right?
Porn was just made for the sexual gratification of the people who watch it, there are quite a few couples out there who watch porn together as part of a healthy sexual relationship and it isn't at all uncommon for guys (and girls) in relationships to watch porn so again I think you might be somewhat misinformed here.

Sorry, but the facts are on my side here.

This isn't the first time sex and video games have been combined, it's just now porn stars are involved.
That is true but most of the other times that video games and sex have been combined the end result has been terrible (need I mention BMXXX or the vast library of porn games for the Atari 2600?) so you're not really making a very strong case for youself here.

Again, you fail to make any type of point, other than saying a bunch of really offensive words.
Considering how so far from what I've seen you've been misinformed or argueably wrong on most of the things you criticised me for I think I have more of a point than you and have done a better job of expressing my arguement than you have (and the words 'freak' and 'weirdo' were really offensive? I'd hate to imagine your response if I was to label someone a '************' or to call something 'bullshit').

What? It's no way more "exploit" to games than porn is to real life. Hell, they're not evening having sex! They're just naked, playing games, which I am perfectly ok with and would love to watch.
Do you mean exploitative by any chance? Anyway, I have no opposition to porn or the people who watch it (again, what people do in their own free time is none of my concern) but it must be realised that the unfortuneate implications behind this (and the tragiclally successful 'hire a gamer girl for a date' website that was announced on here a while ago) and what it says about gamers and gamer culture (remember, we still aren't exactly held in high regard by everyone) is more likely than not going to be far from what you would call 'flattering' (hell we've already had stuff like Mass Effect coming under fire for having 'the most realistic sex acts ever conceived' so what do you think having literal gamer porn would do to our reputation?).

In fact, if porn is being added to the "sub-culture", that just means it's being add to the "normal culture", as porn is a staple of everyday life.
You could have phrased that better seeing as I have no idea what the hell you mean by that.

And while porn is a common occurance in our society and is largely accepted it isn't exactly what you'd call a staple of everyday life, it is still a somewhat private thing and not exactly something that most people are proud of if they watch it a lot.

So, if you're going to make a "point", try to make it consistent.
I've been consistant and I'd say my point is a pretty good one. Your response?

How exactly do you incorporate sex into gaming. I... what? The only way I can see this working out is soft-core porn. :|

Definitely not sure if want. I already have more than enough of both porn and games, but, will combining this work? We'll find out.

Sick of pretend gamer girls? Not as sick as I am of attention-whore gamer girls.

Nonetheless, if that's their selling point then at least it's out in the open.
