For putting the cause of feminists back to the Dark Ages, iJustine:

There's some little Goth girl that fills the bottom of the screen with her mountainous mammaries, but I can't remember her name or anything.
Lies.

I saw no boobs. Certainly none of the screen-filling kind either.

Just the same as before? These girls don't "represent" girl gamers, just as the same way women porn stars don't "represent" women.

And also, it seems as if you guys look down on porn stars.
Sorry for the double post but to be fair to the guys you're criticising they do have a point.

The term 'gamer girl' already has a lot of negative connotations attached to it as it is with it being divided between either the frighteningly raged fueled fan girl or the one who doesn't really even know how to play games and just does suggestive stuff with game controllers because they know that it's easy to give lonely, single gamer guys erections (and as a result they will probably respond with comments like 'ZOMFG U IS HAWT!', 'u make me jizz in my pants' 'A/S/L?' and so on).

That's already the typical image that comes to mind (to paraphrase, menstruating fan she-devil or attention whores with an aversion to clothing and an attraction to Guitar Hero controllers) so it wouldn't be too far of a stretch of the imagination to understand why a porn site set up by two porn stars to try and cash in on the previously mentioned lonely gamer nerd's desire to actually see the naked breasts of a woman (and not have said women call them a 'weirdo' or 'freak' in the process) can be seen has leaving something of a negative image of women in the hobby (they essentially fall squarely into the second stereotype except this is now their day-job).

If women chose to get themselves into working in the adult entertainment industry then that's their own choice and that's fine but when it's seemingly done here to exploit a sub-culture that already has enough problems with how it's viewed publicly then it's not too hard to see why it isn't exactly a welcome thing to all of us.

Kind of like that one site that lets you pay to play with girls.

Good god was that depressing...
That's actually something I completely forgot about, does anyone still actually use that site anymore?

Did anyone go there in the first place?
Enough to crash the site due to sheer volume of traffic.

I don't like the suggestion that female gamers are there for men to salivate over. We are there to play the game we paid for not to amuse them.

If you think we are fake then tough tbh.

This is just going to reinforce that tits or gtfo attitude that some men have in online games.

Not really, but I'll hear the points out.

I don't even see any consistency in this, but I'll do my best to break down the points.

Yes, I knew that thank you though.

Now that I didn't know, as that doesn't really go with gamer girls, just fan girls in general. Actually, that doesn't go with anything, unless they ARE "rapid" fan girls.

What? No, just no. That doesn't come anywhere NEAR the term gamer girl, if you used the general term. The ugly term for gamer girls, is they are fat, lonely, ugly depressed, socially awkward etc etc. Hence why people say "woo, you play games, but you're hot!" That is not true however, and never use it like that.

What is this, I don't even...

Again, no. Just...no.

Ah, the same way porn cashes in on the lonely nerds who can't get a girl right? I mean, that's what porn was made for right?

This isn't the first time sex and video games have been combined, it's just now porn stars are involved.

Again, you fail to make any type of point, other than saying a bunch of really offensive words.

What? It's no way more "exploit" to games than porn is to real life. Hell, they're not evening having sex! They're just naked, playing games, which I am perfectly ok with and would love to watch.

In fact, if porn is being added to the "sub-culture", that just means it's being add to the "normal culture", as porn is a staple of everyday life.

So, if you're going to make a "point", try to make it consistent.

Seriously. It's like... porn gaming hipsters? "We were pretending to be gamers before you were pretending to be a gamer, back when you actually had to play games to fake it!"

No thanks. I like videogames, and I like nude women. I would like to play games with a nude woman next to me playing with me. But this? This does not sound appealing. At all.

If Epic has ANYTHING to do with this I hope Gears 3 falls flat because this is just sad another over blown PR move. We don't need whores to whore themselves out so 15 year old's w/ their mom's credit card can fap to a gurl's voice while playing Gears 3. I'm just tired of this bullshit like this comes up and make all gamers look bad.

These gurls should be ashamed and like I said before if they are involved Epic should be extremely ashamed of themselves for this.

Just keep that in mind the next time the mean jocks punch your arm and knock the books out of your hands. You're just a geek, and you should like, totally do something to get some dignity and self-respect and stop nerding it up all over the place. Go join a team and exercise some time, tubby!
And this has relevence to anything said...why? Are you trying to make a point here? (if so then it's a very clumisy made and hard to understand one other than you apparantly equate someone believing that porn is degrading to jocks who beat up nerdy guys for being nerdy, not exactly a clear comparison to make).

Yes, I am calling you out for being a judgmental twat. What gives you the moral high ground, the right, to look down on them?
You do this, ironically, while coming across as something of a judgemental twat yourself.

What gives you the moral high ground, the right, to look down on him for possessing an opinion you happen to disagree with?

It does make it hard for you to legitimately call someone out on someone for holding contempt for someone when you not only do exactly the same thing but actually go further than they do.

Whatever way you try to cut it you're being condescending whilst berating someone for being condescending (you see where this falls apart?).

Christ, what reasoning could you even have for such an obnoxious opinion? Let's think this one through! You don't like sex. Or maybe you consider all sex and depictions thereof to be demeaning -- at least to the woman. That any woman who chooses to flaunt her sexuality, who chooses to allow images of her in the act of sex to be recorded and sold, is in fact debasing herself? That about right? Because sex is dirty, and women are used for sex? Am I hitting this out of the park or what.
That may be why or that could be you projecting and cold reading with such ferocity that you instill fear in even the bravest of powerpoint presentations and psychics.

Some people do believe that pornography is degrading (and they have their own valid reasons for it) just like some people believe that pornography is liberating (for their own valid reasons), just because you happen to disagree with someone doesn't nessercarily mean that they're wrong (pornography and the representation of sexuality for personal pleasure is something a complex issue with valid arguements on both sides).

Also, for the love of God, if you're going to try and convince someone to change their mind then try to steer clear of doing what is pretty much an open verbal attack on them (making small comical jabs at the silliness of what someone is saying is fine, no-one's saying you can't have a sense of humour, but going into what look like rage-filled rants about how someone must be a sexist pig who objectifies women just makes you sound like a *****).

PROTIP: Grow up, your opinions are straight out of 1586. Please base any statements you make on actual thought and reasoning and not just what older people told you to think. Your entire premise is based upon flawed and sexist foundations.
Wow! I can't believe the readings of self-rightiousness we're getting off of that statement! (it's off the charts!)

Am I right in assuming that you're one of those people who encourages free and open debate so long as everyone agree with what you say? (otherwise, fuck all them primative screw-heads and let their respective God sort 'em out?)

If you think what he has said is flawed then explain why it is flawed, that's the only way you'll convince people to see things your way (the 'fling poo at the bastards like a monkey' technique isn't as effective as it is popular).

I really, really hope these girls make good game journalists and entertainers. I'd absolutely love it if they actually made a good site out of this, that just happened to also have boobs. I suspect it may fall short, but we'll just have to wait and see I guess. Simply because they're naked doesn't mean they're rubbish. Thing is, there's a million rubbish sites about games out there, and at least half as many that are fair -- and far fewer that are actually good. It's a bit presumptive and prejudiced to claim that simply because they'll be topless that they'll be compensating for not being quality.
Given how neither of them seem to have a history in writing or journalism (and I doubt they'll even have that much in the way of charisma or wit on camera, from what I hear people don't watch porn for the acting and memorable dialogue) I somehow doubt that they'll live up to much in the way of any actual informative entertainment (more likely we'll probably get a weakly scripted version of what we see everywhere else but this time with a pair of surgically enhanced 32G's for your viewing pleasure).

If this was a pair of gaming journalists and reporters who thought they'd add a funny twist to what they do by doing it naked then that'd probably hold more promise, as a couple of porn stars who seem to have had the bright idea of cashing in on the lonely, dateless nerd stereotype I get the feeling that this will probably amount to little more than a flimsy context to have girls get paid to flash their tits on webcam.

I'm going to laugh so damn hard when they win the 2012 MLG tournament. They may have to play behind a screen so they don't distract their neckbeard opponents.

Anybody that has a problem with this (or porn in general) degrades women more then porn ever has. It's not the 1600's, women can totally enjoy sex and even be voyeuristic about it.

Of course, I have absolutely no idea why any woman might want to have a job that pays very well and allows them to have lots and lots of sex... no woman should ever enjoy sex or making money. Equality unless it's not the kind I like!

This is just... degrading. I really don't think that this will add anything to, well, anything. I mean, I can understand the appeal of game reviews and stuff but this whole topless thing seems like just a cheap gimmick to attract desperate and/or sexually frustrated men for extra traffic, and the slogan is painful. No, really. It causes me actual physical pain to read something that's so awkward and forced.

I'm sorry, ladies, but I'm going to stick with more tasteful content, thank you very much. Keep doing whatever it is you're doing, though, if you enjoy it. I think that some people out there think that this is a great idea.

... I don't think they're very attractive, anyway...
