good thing I just set up my steam account, because you know Valve isnt gonna release shit for the 360

Is that Chell being dragged back down into Apeture?
Crazy thought, but what if Chell becomes the new AI? The one we see booting up at the end? Of course that kind of ruins 'Still Alive'.. yeah my theory isn't worth it.

From what I've heard this ending only plays if you have unlocked the new transmission recieved achievement so trying it out won't work without doing that first.SeanTheSheep said:

Portal is my fave game EVER, i'll buy it anyway but if this game sucks we, the gamers, must rise up against Valve and demand a worthy sequel... or cake

Was this really necessary? I mean, as far as endings go, the old one was pretty ambiguous.
I suppose this makes it seem less like a retcon.
Also, I was really looking forward to running around city 17 or anywhere outside, with the portal gun.

Well still interesting but kinda takes away from how your character would actually read GLaDOS's report...Still HL2 health display is in Gmod...I doubt this is real...Kinda cool I guess...
I'm not surprised that Valve would make a Portal 2 seeing how awesome the first was plus the fact this was only the beginning of a great game idea.

So wait, they've completely retconned the ending of the game just to set up a sequel? That ranks on the list of my highest rated and most awesome marketing strategies, up there with Rickrolling Yahtzee. Seriously, retconning something is never to be taken lightly when you consider the way in which hardcore fans will react. So doing it just for marketing for a sequel is pretty damn awesome
