I want to make a joke about the French....but, I could see this happening in America too.

And seriously, that man deserves some kind of award or something. Something to immortalize him for years.
Some asshole MAILED himself here in the States... That says something.

EPIC!

maybe he'll pop out of it in the next SSB
A CHALLENGER HAS APPEARED!

*Jean-Pierre Treiber appears out of the shadows, emaciated and wielding a switchblade, shouting the French national anthem as he decapitates Princess Peach*

But seriously, this is the most ingenious and epic prison escape I've heard of in some time. The guy probably deserves a medal. I don't think the prison guards are to blame, though. Either Treiber is Solid Snake reincarnated, meaning the poor guys never had a chance, or he just used a technique the prison guards aren't trained to look for in particular, meaning Treiber just got very lucky.
this isnt the most ingenious escape i heard of a guy who used salsa to dissolve his prison bars (took him 3 years) in brazil thats epic

Why is everyone applauding a man suspected of the double homicide of two early 30s women by strangulation. It's terrible that he's escaped although it's even more terrible that he's been awaiting trial since 2004. There's even an odd mystery to the case in that there is DNA that they have not identified present on the tape used to gag the women.

If he was innocent and his cryptic response to being arrested of "He bumped her off," refers to the actual killer, this stupid escape will make him guilty of a crime anyways.

It's actually pretty bad news all around especially the high security prison, who was foiled by a man in a box (albeit a man with amazing woodcraft skills).
Some people can't live without HDTV. I certainly couldn't. Even if it meant seeming guiltier for a crime I may or may not have committed, if I were incarcerated, I'd try to escape to watch football in HD. Makes perfect sense to me! Viva la France!!

Quick! Ban videogames!

Nah, Let the guy go, He is made of awesomesauce.
This, pretty much.

They've had him for four years without a conviction, and now he does an awesome thing like this? Let him go, he's earned it.

And, he's just too cool
The whole four years without conviction is just nuts in any court system. I wonder what the creepy excuse for that shit was. No conviction means no appeal or parole. Just a state of limbo in between possible rape and being shanked for your cigarettes or whatever it is they do these days.

So yea, now that I've over thought it, let the man go. XD
OK, so I want you to look at this link and remember he's accused of strangling two lesbians to death in the same night, burning their bodies and then burying them: http://www.interpol.int/Public/ICPO/PressReleases/PR2009/PR200983.asp

No, he needs a trial he's waaaaay too creepy looking and if he did commit those acts he needs to be locked far away.
That is my point. If he is a criminal, try his ass and put him away. Hell, if he killed them, drop him in a vat of acid after you choke/revive/choke/revive/etc him for a few hours. I am all for old testament justice if he actually did the crime. If he is innocent and simply lacking faith in a system that has had him wrongfully imprisoned for FOUR years, he has my support.

So yea, I agree with ya. :D

I love you all for your Metal Gear allusions. This guy is pure win. If i was adopted i hope he's my father.

*ring ring* "Treiber. I'll be keeping in contact with you throughout your stay. Use the codec if you need my advice; i've got years of experience with that area. Don't hesitate to ask about the flora and fauna-sometimes it can mean the difference between life and death."

"Got it. Thanks mom."
