Yay, two entries and I live in the US! Plus at least half of the comments on the FaceBook page didn't have their usernames so I might be able to win one.

Quick question for everyone complaining - do you think we're not letting you enter out of spite, or something? Do you really think we're just so ignorant that we say to ourselves, hey, we could let half of our audience in on this really cool event, but let's just not? I certainly understand why you're frustrated, but the comments in this thread seem to indicate that you think we're doing this on purpose just to piss you off, or something.
Of course we don't think you are doing it to piss us off or anything, and I understand there are laws that govern these things, but we keep seeing all of these great contests that we are denied entry to and we can't help but feel left out. After a while, it starts to get just a little bit annoying.[small]Classic British understatement[/small]

Perhaps if Spinwhiz or someone else were to explain exactly why we can't enter and point out the exact laws regarding competitions for us to read, then it wouldn't seem so unfair...
I agree it would be nice if someone did tell us why we can't enter.
But, its my right as an Englishman to feel both mildly annoyed and inconvenienced :p

Through a series of events that would take a while to explain, I "liked" him twice.
I only entered once however...

But you guys aren't interested in what happened Facebook thought I wasn't who I am and kicked me off for trying to connect to my school.

That didn't take vey long actually...

Um can someone answer my question?
I accidentally entered twice, one won't lead to any account (and I cannot find the comment to remove it on this slow comp) while I just entered the correct one. Would that be bad?

Yahtzee deserves my congratulations, I guess. I want a free T-shirt though, so I jumped through all the hoops to get it.

*crosses fingers*

I need another shirt that expresses my social status as a nerd :D

US and Canada... Again?

I don't even know why i check these things anymore
It is unfair, I agree. Maybe, if I win, I might send it to you. If you are nice that is.

I'm a Canadian, I'm willing to share.

Ah, a shameless promotion from yours truly. Excellent work. I kid, i kid, but don´t you think it´s alittle dickheadish to only give it to north america and canada?

Well:

1) Why don't you put that bit more clearly so our expectations aren't dashed against a wall when we finally get to the bottom and,

2) Why don't you actually explain (or link to an explaination) as to why it is US and Canada only

You admit that it's frustrating then attack us for stating that fact. That really does feel like salt in the wound.

"You must be currently residing in the United States or Canada."
As usual...
It's kind of funny since Yahtzee himself doesn't even live there.

Not at all, but we do feel liek the underappreciated half of your audience. I mean we all love the Escapist thats why we are here, but time after time we get the US or Canada resident only disclaimer and we all feel like " Why are the US and Canadian fans treated so much better than us?". I imagine its probably a very good reason and if you can offer half your audience something then letting them have a comp is better than never having a competition at all. But when its something like shirts as in this comp most of us cant see a reason why we would be excluded apart from the fact the Escapist doesnt want to pay for long distance shipping. I imagine there is another reason I just mean it would be nice if there were comparable competitons we could enter from time to time.

Now I can't be the only one here that always gets disappointed when it says US or some other Region only. NZ has it bad. And being a member of the PubClub means Instant Access but...

Good Luck!

Sigh. Themis Media may be a "Company to Watch [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/102404-Weve-Been-Named-a-North-Carolina-Company-to-Watch]", but only stateside it seems...

Just amusing when the star of the show is a British guy living in Australia.

Australians don't get recognition again. Is this another casualty of the "beautiful beaches" tax?

Please, the beach is 500 metres down the road from my house, but I'd happily swap it for moar ZP.

I'm a nerd, I don't need beaches...

It's the lack of communicastion as to WHY, I think, Susan.

We aren't silly, we do know there's postage and laws and such, it's just never explained WHAT laws and postage and such.

Can we have comps for other regions sometimes? That would make me happy, just so I could look at the comp and think "wow, Australia, NZ and Oceania only. I have a chance!"
