It is far too fucking hard, I mean the fight with Elizabeth Green is ten different kinds of unfair.

She can knock you down

She can attack you with dozens of orbs that seek you out

She sends out the strongest level infected in waves of 3 which can also knock you down and deal massive amounts of damage.

She has a bullshit blood wave which knocks away most of your health if it hits, and it will because of all the crap that can knock you down

She can attack you DURING the blood wave, and knock you down, making it impossible to flee.

Edit: For the record, you have to use the bio-whip thing and lock onto the tentacles, while moving, and continuously use your long ranged attacks.
All of that is true, and the edit is what I did. It worked, I was able to do a good amount of damage with that and I think that;s the thing that can do the most damage. Devastator attacks hardly work, even thought the hints in the game tell you to use them on her. I just recently beat her. It took me 7 tries.
I found that the critical pain devastator worked very well on her, using the strategy I posted earlier I didn't die at all.

The best way to kill elizabeth is this:

go armour and sword form

run up the nearest sky scraper, running leap off while targetting one of her tendrils. Use the diving blade special attack. it will CLEAVE of *massive* amounts of their hp due to this simple fact. With that move, more height = more damage.

Really? It was piss easy for me. All you do is equip Blade and Shield upgrade health and regen and pretty much everything you can, then use spike graveyard devastator. Twice will take her down easy. All you need to do for health is run off to a side street, fight the hunters which are easy that come after you, using the blade upgrades and hunter slam. Consume them, get health up, use spike graveyard, destroy her, repeat. Very easy. The only boss I had to try twice was supreme hunter No.2 cause of that gay time limit.
I tried spike graveyard a couple times, but it hardly did anything. I did everything else you said, let hunters chase me, then kill them, consume them, get health, get back, attack, the devestators hardly did anything.
You sir, are either lying or playing on max uber difficulty. Run in with the shield up, dodge the attacks she throws, stand right next to her, charge up, and own. Once she falls just slash her with the blade. Seriously I lie not.
He is right, it works. Except I didn't run up to her. I went to the nearest skyscraper, waited for the hunters to come to me (insert Dirtnap here) and consumed them. I would jump off the building and do the air graveyard devestator. It would take two or three to take down her defenses and then it was time for the face slashing. Repeat this whole process about 3 times and she is dead. Took about 45 minutes and was epic. I died once because she hit me with rocks and disrupted my drop and as soon as I was on the ground... blood wave, and it sapped all my health, but I did get another devistator off before I died.

I am freakin' loving this game. It is a challenge and that is good. And it is not "exploding shiruken that you can't see = cheep" challenge either. If a hunter takes you down (later in the game) it is because you F-ed up, Hunters are pusses meant to be consumed. Don't get me wrong though, I've had plenty a Hunter get is fists all over me in that charge attack of theirs, I just didn't dodge roll in time.
Dear Gravity...
☞I'm playing on normal, and whenever I did it, it took a shard of her tentacles health, I might need to lock on or something... But I didn't tdo the air spike graveyard, I just did the normal, that might be why. And, Hunter dirtnap FTW☜
...You're holding me down.

Yeah you really need to do hit and run attacks if you want to survive. Also the the boss battles are really shitty especially the last one. I don't know how many times I saw the bad ending because I kept getting hit by explosives while trying to attack the boss.

What I've found with prototype is that if what you're doing isn't working try a new tactic. There is ALWAYS some sort of trick that makes it a million times easier.

On the rooftops of the nearby buildings are some billboards. Stand behind these so that none of Greene's attack can hit you. Kill some of the hunters to reach critical mass. Jump over the billboards so that you are above Greene and the Tentacles. Lock onto her and then use the Air Groundspike Graveyard Devestator. If you land it close enough, you will damage the monster itself, take off a MASSIVE amount of all three tentacles' health and you can just repeat the process again and again.

I died in this fight a load of times, but when I did it this way, I finished it the first time, kept my health pretty high throughout and only had to use any powers when she was stunned.

On a side note Greene and the Tentacles sounds like an awesome band name.

Just to chime in here, the game is really rough. I'm at the part where you need to fight off seven hunters (after getting claws) and I have no idea how on earth I'm supposed to do it. The first one isn't bad, but when the other two come in I just get mauled. They are faster than me, they knock me down, they don't mind me hitting them, whenever I try to line up any kind of jump attack on one of them, the other jumps me from behind. Even if I do take them out, I'm usually too low on health to handle the next wave of FOUR FREAKING HUNTERS. Oh, and to make it even better, even though there's a bunch of soldiers around, you can't really use them for healing because whenever you try to consume one a hunter will knock you down.

As a side note, I'm also playing Jagged Alliance 2 at the moment, so I'm basically alternating between two frustration fests :p
When the objective to destroy the fuel tanks comes up, lure them to the tanks and attack them. When they explode, at least one of the hunters should be stunned, which means you can absorb them, get health, and repeat.

the Greene fight?
stay on top of the roofs for one
and make sure your lock on is to Greene only

and the #1 rule
The whipfist IS YOUR FRIEND, it might not be as fast as using the blade, but it works
remember to do a running jump, and don't jump towards her, jump to another rooftop while attacking with the whipfist, if you fall into the street get back up asap
when the screen changes color and things slow down, make sure you get to high ground, though I think you may have figured that part out already
when you kill the ground tentacles, use the blade's air flip slash thingy to do a lot of damage

I didn't use the armor because you move faster without it, so I recommend bringing the shield
it's a hard fight yes, but never give up, trust your instincts

also, for the final boss, stay close to him, watch him, abuse overroll and the slice and dice move for the blade

How do you guys handle the Leader Hunters? I can take them down, but the most efficient method I've found so far is jumping really high and Whipping them from air. Not exactly epic, exciting or anything like that. At least the regular hunters have the decency to get stunned for a few seconds while you bash them but not these guys. Going melee with them just feels like asking to take a punch in the face, get knocked down, and then get another punch while you're trying to get up...

Hey this is not the place for that kind of logic. :D

And yes it is bloody hard. I am stuck on the first encounter with the hunters. In other words the first mission. I might have to crack open the int. book. The horror oh the horror.

Just did the dreaded Lizzy Green fight, not that bad. Here's the short of it.

1. Keep Shield up, it can block her homing attacks. Screw Armor, you need to be mobile for this one.

2. The Blood Wave is the biggest danger since it can drop you from max health to almost dead. Fortunately, it only affects ground level. When it's about to fire the entire screen will go gray, so just charge a quick jump to the nearest building and keep running upwards. It can be avoided even if it triggers while you're standing right on top of her.

3. Her remaining attacks are rock throwing which is easy to dodge, some Hydras which are stationary and Hunters which by this point are nothing more than health boosts on legs. If you're having teouble beating Hunters this far into the game, you either suck or haven't been doing any side missions so your EP is low.

4. For damaging her, use any of the following: Throw stuff (unreliable), vehicles, Whip secondary attack, Blade Air Slice (charged secondary while in air), Air Critical Pain Devastator. Air Slice is the most powerful, but also most risky. Vehicles work OK, but die fast (Tanks are better then Choppers this time). Critical Pain is a fairly safe bet that can be excecuted from a safe distance. Throwing and whipping is just too slow.

5. If you take too much damage run into one of the side streets where Green can't target you, the whole area is full of low level infected for you to snack on. Also, Hunters will come after you most of the time, so you can snack up on them as well.

6. Remember, she's a stationary target and you're in no rush. After each attack run get to higher ground and get your bearings. Eat someone if you took damage. Don't charge in while hurt. This fight is easy as long as you're careful.

That one is tricky when you're starting out. The key here is to run & jump like crazy and hit them with weapons. Also, Air kicks are not a bad idea. Use the lock-on so your shots land on your target even if you're running away from it. Try to learn at which point the hunter becomes "consumeable" and don't kill it, rather eat it for a fat health boost. If you can avoid them then you can slowly kill them off one by one. Focus on one at a time and don't take too long or you'll run out of soldiers to act as a diversion. As soon as you get the objective to blow up the fuel tanks, grab a grenade/missile launcher and start taking them out as fast as you can. Once you blow up all of them, the mission is over.

I actually find Alex Mercer to be one of the most powerful video game protagonists ever. I mean seriously, on normal difficulty, I can jump into any given heavily fortified military base. Then, I go ape shit, everyone else goes crazy, and later I've leveled the entire complex with the ground in ways one couldn't possibly imagine. (Ramping on a dead body to plunge straight into a chopper anyone?)

I mean, I certainly struggle at some points, but most of the game I can do just about anything I want with everyone I want.

Ya I know what I need to do it is just matter of getting it done. To often I will try and grab a army guy or a weapon but end up grappling with a hunter instead. I have no doubt I will get it done. Just need to learn what the game expects me to do.

I didn't find anything about Prototype "Hard", definitely challenging but you can always heal or get away at any time and once you figure out how to deal with any particular creature or structure, you can take it out with a quickness.

Some tips
-Read the mission and do that and only that. eg if the mission is to pilot a tank somewhere, do not stop and fight, just rush to the location you have to get to
-If you are fighting something and it isn't dying quick, switch powers and/or location you are hitting it.
