The only real advantage of PC over Consoles is that, in general, you can plug in any controller that fits your needs, and thus adapt the experience to your tastes (You can even plug in a Wiimote).
The only real advantage of Consoles over PC is platform exclusive titles, and the prevalence of shitty PC ports.
Hardware is rather irrelevant. The PC offers a gradual but constant increase in processing power, but consoles close that gap with each generation, and many games are designed with specific console generation specs in mind, so quite often the extra power of the PC is wasted.
So my advice is to choose based on what better suits you as a player. If a platform you own offers a better combined experience for a certain game (control/graphics/extras/availability) then go for it.
Just try to stay away from dogmatic approaches (All those "I use XBOX for shooters, PS3 for cooking mama and PC for Indie Games" lists), put some thought into what each platform offers (aka: do the research) and feel proud that you are a responsible consumer, not just the puppet of some marketing department.
