Cloaking device. Portal Gun is a close second but, nothing beats being able to turn invisible whenever you wanted. Actually, mind reading beats turning invisible.
And you know what's better then both of those things combined? Controling probobility. Think about it.

Perhaps, but I would prefer cloaking and mind reading.

If you could control probobility you could make the chances of turning invisible when you, say, stamp your foot 1:1 for and have multiple super powers. AND WHAT SUKAH! OHHHH!

There wouldn't be much real-world application for anything but the cloaking device, so that's my vote.

Actually, controlling probability would be nothing short of omnipotence, so you wouldn't need either of those. You could just make it certain (a probability of 1) that photons that rebound from you just happen to take the wavelength that corresponds to the photons on the other side of you. Or you could make it certain that you would imagine the thoughts that the person you're concentrating on has.

I'd have to go for that lovely cloaking device.
So much I could do to help people...
I could rid the world of evil-doers :D
Mwahahahahaha!
[small]No, I would not use it for the 'other use'... I am nonsexual, so I'd have no reason to... the thought alone makes me nauseous...[/small]

I like how everyone is saying "cloaking device", when it is a "game technology" poll and pretty much every cloaking device in games only makes you invisible to the "untrained" eye. Gravity gun would be pretty fun and make it easier to move/lift stuff around when moving. Start a moving business and make a ton...

Only practical use I can think of for power armor is hunting down Al Gore and punching him in the face for being a moron. Global warming my ass. Ever since they start spreading around that bunch of lies it has gotten gradually colder every year. Not to mention the people that still go on about it being a problem make me laugh and lose any respect at all for them.
you obviously have not been where I live...in canada...it was 10 celsius yesterday...

I know. But controlling probability wasn't part of the question.

I would ONLY do it if it was the cloak and dagger or the dead ringer from TF2.
Otherwise, portal gun

lol everyone picks cloaking thinking "can't catch what you can't see!" which yeah, that's true, but on the other hand, can't avoid what you can't see. Person A bumps into something they cant see on the sidewalk, person B does the same, Person C at full run slams into something completely invisible sending it and himself flying in opposite directions, then Car A comes to a screeching halt after it's hood and windshield suddenly crumple from an invisible object, then everyone gathers around to look at the corpse that suddenly appeared.

Cloaking is horrible, you have to be ridiculously paranoid while it's on or shit's just gonna keep slamming into you.

Portal Gun is lame, line of sight only, and only a-b travel, incredibly limited, not to mention anyone else can go wandering through your portals if you leave them open.

Gravity gun, aside from making Newton slap you, you'll probably die within the first few hours of getting it as you're testing it out and decide to move something really heavy, which then lands on you.

Standard powered armor won't directly cause your death, and improves your strength, the amount of time you can sustain physical activity, and typically comes with enough bulletproofing to keep you alive. Though some of the more advanced armors come with flight, which will probably kill you.

Final assessment, it's a group of video game geeks, so go with portal gun, cause lets face it, everything else is going to kill you, and while the portal gun might not do anything cool at least you can eliminate those 12 steps to the fridge.

The cloaking device easy, then I would make myself a pair of preditor claws and unleash myself upon the urban jungle.

Cloaking device. I want to be invisible. You could listen in on people you don't like, then come up with 'surprising' facts about them the next time you meet. Make references only they get so they suddenly go all awkward and you get that beautiful sense of 'ha, I have beaten you.'

Portal gun was my first choice, but then I realized that one misplaced portal could put me in a heap of trouble. Thus, gravity gun. Don't have to pick anything up EVER AGAIN. So badass.
