Around 6h per day is about right. Although I feel that I'm more sedentary at school than when I'm gaming.

I don't spend that much time gaming; I do everything on my iPod except downloading music. Then I sleep 12+ hrs a day. Or read into the wee hours of the morning. Lol. But I keep my TV on for quite sometime & I spend hours on my DS & iPod at a time. Yep- 5-6 hours fer sureee!

Let's see...

An hour on the computer before leaving for work in the morning.
Eight hours at work.
Between three and five hours on the computer/360 depending on how late I stay up.

That's anywhere between twelve and fourteen hours on weekdays.

I get maybe six hours of sleep on weekends, and I'm either on the computer or 360 for all of my time awake (except for the obvious; getting food, toilet breaks, etc.).

So what exactly did the study conclude about those that spend over twelve hours sitting? Or is it a case of once you pass four hours, you may as well go all out and shoot for the 24 without any further effects?

I'm a writer, but due to my utter inability to sit still for more than 30 minutes, I hand write my drafts then type them.

I try and keep my screen time down. When I play computer games, I'm forever pausing, putting on a movie then when the first scene ends, I move to the dining room and start reading a book, then I'm in the back yard and about four hours later I remember I paused my game.

It depends on how long we're talking (days, weeks, months, etc), but it's easily the majority of the time. I sit on the computer, TV, and/or other devices with monitors at home and at school, so I'm on most the time.

Hmm... Well, definitely 6+ hours.

Since my education requires working on a computer and I love gaming and well, just sitting in front of the computer, then it must be about 14 hours or more on a weekday and... even more on weekends/holidays.

Well, including school work it's well over 6 hours a day, but I likely spend even more then that a day sitting in lectures.

The only job that doesn't force you to spend 2+ hours in front of a screen is Nordic Lumberjack at this point, and that's only in the areas where there isn't any electricity.

Seriously, where did they find people who *didn't* fall into the "unhealthy" category?
