If the hardware is awesome, and if the games that get released onto the system are awesome, then I believe that justifies the price. Now only if I had the money to actually buy one

Its just an overpriced gimmick. Not interested to pay that much for something that doesnt add much to the gameplay.

meh with launch titles never being all that great, and I don't even play my ds all that much I would much rather stick to my pc. I am getting a ps3 and 360 eventually anyways and I do most of my gaming on console/pc while my psp and ds gather dust.

I want it but £215 ($345) is alot more than $250 (£170) I believe us brits have more right to complain though

But in any case it's more than an xbox 360 and thats too much.

I live in Europe, and we're pretty much screwed. It's ridiculously expensive, but I'll still buy it. I will wait a while though, for better games.

I'm not particularly interested in the 3DS, but my girlfriend is pretty excited about it.

I was expecting it to be more expensive ($300) and I never got any previous DS models. The fact I can play DS games on the 3DS is a good selling point too.

It is a bit too expensive, but also cheaper than I thought it was going to be. I know I'll still get one at some point, but that time may be delayed until a Pokemon game is announced.

Yeah too high, maybe the hardware is "worth it" but i just don't get enough out of my handhelds to drop 250bucks. Especially since the first version of any nintendo handheld is the short batterylife, dim screen, overwieght stepchild that will be replaced in a year.

I already put a preorder down on the 3DS and was told the estimate was $300 based on the yen conversion, so this is cheaper than what I expected to pay. Well, as long as Nintendo doesn't arbitrarily screw over Canadians despite our dollar being at par to the USD.

It's a lot of money, sure, but it's not really super-expensive compared to the technology in it.

Everyone wants things to be cheaper, but for a new release that's the first ever to use parralax barrier technology, we're lucky it isn't 300

£210 at Game I think, and I thought that sounded reasonable, it's an impressive gaming platform that will definitely provide that value back in entertainment. I don't HAVE that kind of money however so it's not a release purchase for me in any sense. I'll be getting it when it drops to the sub-£150 mark with a pile of games at discounted prices. Like I did my DS.

I personally think it is kind of expensive, but I also think it's worth the price they're asking.

(Which in the UK is £230.)

Considering we're talking about a 3D device (which I know is just a pointless gimick) it's gonna be a popuar device. Nintendo hand-helds are also the top of that particular market, seriously, when it comes to hand-helds I never think of anythin besides nintendo.

Then we're talking about rumoured processing/graphical power that's supposedly better than the Wii's.

It's a solid piece of kit for the price they're asking.

So yeah a bit expensive, but if I had the money I'd shell it out.

I personally find it too expensive for a handheld and definitely won't be buying one till it's region free.

Well looking at its game library I think its gonne be worth it, depending on the price of the games of course... Either way I am definetly going to get it!
