Congrats to everyone who voted Nintendo...you are part of the problem! Nintendo has a licence to print money, because they are a nostalgia factory that sells you your childhood for $50 a pop.

Has anyone played GoldenEye recently? It sucks. It was great at the time, but it sucks now. I see everybody talking about "How great Nintendo's conference was", but it was absolutely horrid. Zelda, Kirby, Donkey Kong....am I listening to an E3 from the NES days?

Sony, who put on an amazing show with technical innovations and IPs that haven't been around since the early nineties (or earlier), gets almost no hype because all we hear about is "o_O NEW ZELDA!!!1". Screw Nintendo, screw the fanboys, and screw Zelda. Thanks for ruining E3!
I am afraid I will have to agree with you on that one.

Nothing can top an OoT remake. And Goldeneye. And a new Donkey Kong Country. Nintendo!

Even though its not on the list, can I pick Ubisoft? 90 minutes of entertainment purely through taking the piss out of them. Great fun!

Ok, I won't say much because someone else has already called you out.

Your argument makes no sense because you are making a double standard because sony is doing the exact same thing. If you knew anything about Nintendo you know what they are about, revolution and building on that gameplay even if its the same IP. Also, you didn't even mention the 3ds, which looks amazing and already has over 71 release titles coming out.

Someone else here has a case of fanboy and is jaded. The only thing I saw from sony that I liked was seeing twisted metal, but they had a boring show, and most weren't exclusives or it was shit we've seen already. Also I know some websites have compained about the 3d garbage because of the glasses. Nintendo got a lot of cheers from people. Microsoft made people cry.

Nintendo won this year. Because they actually ANNOUNCED GAMES, AND A NEW HANDHELD. Other conferences focused to much on sales figures and "ohhh were moving into the future with 3d glasses and motion sensor" bull shit. Nintendo has failed the last 2 years, but nintendo got it right because they realized what the people want when they fly or drive to e3. Games, not a business speech.
Edit: Guess I said to much. Anyway. Pfft.
Edit2: If you're complaining about rehashing IP issues, look at the 3ds games list and see the quality third party games coming in.

Sony. Twisted Metal. I'm very much anticipated, even though I probably won't get to play it, ever. But still. And p0rtal_2 is a wowgasm.

Portal 2 isn't an exclusive though. I mean its great for PS3 users, but I'm just getting it on PC. I think the only reason valve did this is to make bank by incorporating steam into it ya know?

Nintendo won, sure remakes, but remakes/rehashes of games which are actually good.
DK:C = epic, any zelda game (quite objectively mind you) = epic, Kirby = didn't really like that they got rid of the eating people, but it got good early reviews, 3DS = Pretty damn epic (comes with a woman! but in all seriousness if anyone saw the .pdf with the games list :D), Mario sports are a ton of fun, so really I reckon they won. (ALSO NO CAMMIE OR VITALITY SENSOR!)

Microsoft was just embarrassing, kinetic looked silly even though it's priced a lot better than move. No interesting new games quite frankly (never really liked halo that much). Another new xbox? Eh who really cares (eats games!).

Sony was just ADS ADS ADS, god that was so boring I pretty much fell asleep, Kevin Butler is kinda meh, and then Marcus or whatever (=more ADS). Move looks silly (I hate motion controls) price is kinda high. Couldn't care in the slightest for any of the games shown, Killzone 2 was supposed to be revolutionary (GOTY!) and quite frankly was pretty shit, and Killzone 3 looks pretty much the same. Oh and not to forget another of their main points, I hate 3D, it gives me headaches and I already have to wear glasses so 2 pairs = fail. (personally don't care about Twisted Metal, didn't look too great IMO but I can't judge that)

Mind you this is coming from someone who has every console, and has played pretty much every game with a sequel announced at this E3.

EDIT: OH and Portal 2 is not exclusive, and will still be best for the glorious PC master race.

Wow. This thread is fanboy flamebait at its finest.

And we haven't even got to the second page.

Sony definately. Im not even a fanboy because I dont own any of the three systems, but after looking at all 3 conferences, seeing the Kinect vs Move motion controls, and seeing that Sony showed a LOT more games than Microsoft, seeing as how Microsoft spent a good hour and a half just talking about their pet project, I'd say Sony won out. Fanboys of Nintendo will just say they won because "OMG remade Goldeneye and and new games with the exact same game characters we've seen for the past 25 years. So excited". Kevin Butler was awesome, while in the Microsoft Conference it was HIGHLY scripted acting, and about 10 minutes in you could tell all the Kinect games were all recordings. Makes you lose a little faith.

I'm going to hand it for Nintendo. They came in with a big gun (Zelda), they went out with a big gun (3DS), and then they release the "List of 3DS games in development". Everything else they announced was gravy. Sony came a decent second, despite not really coming up trumps on the exclusives front. Even EA beat Microsoft. The less said about Ubisoft, the better.

I'm surprised that Microsoft is neck and neck with Sony as I type, they were awful.

I'm a pc gamer so that being said.

While sony did better than microsoft, they did better than nintendo? Really?
The 3ds actually has good 3rd party support and Kid Icarus hasn't been around for years. New IP isn't a big deal when shits done right and its fun. Sony didn't reveal much new stuff anyway.

Nintendo actually talked about games more than anything else, sonys conference was boring as hell, but still better than microsofts.

Well, it's not, but I don't think the company's performance is based on the number of exclusive titles they bring up. That way Nintendo is the only winner, of course. I think the 3DS was really cool (as far as I've read), but imho the announcement of a TM relaunch and the official Portal_2 trailer simply beat everything else. (I myself enjoyed TM4 on the PS1 for years, and got immersed into the first portal game).

Actually, if I were to be present on the Microsoft conference, I'd give them the prize since having an X360 here is a privilege, but owning something as cool as an X360 SLIM would be unbelievable.

Your statement is pretty weird. You state that you hate motion controls, and yet you adamantly support the Nintendo Conference and its games, such as Zelda, which will involve motion controls. Doesnt make much sense.

I would have rather seen half life episode 3 or Half Life 3 haha. But yeah, wish I was on the floor at their conference. Would make up for what ya had to sit through.

I'll just add one quick thing here, because others have already talked about the rest. The reason certain companies get loyal fans is that they make quality material. Nostalgia will only take you so far, if the new game sucks then no amount of good memories will make it better.

Before you dismiss my argument as fanboy wank, I want to point out that I haven't liked Nintendo sense the SNES. I honestly HATE motion controls and unless there is a non motion control option I won't pick up a game (like the new Zelda). I can't speak for everyone, but my reasoning for my choice was that they had more games that looked fun to play.

Nintendo, hands down. Nintendo had the most new information. Not to mention that the let people have an in theater test drive of the 3DS, and Skyward Sword.
