Nintendo won, sure remakes, but remakes/rehashes of games which are actually good.
DK:C = epic, any zelda game (quite objectively mind you) = epic, Kirby = didn't really like that they got rid of the eating people, but it got good early reviews, 3DS = Pretty damn epic (comes with a woman! but in all seriousness if anyone saw the .pdf with the games list :D), Mario sports are a ton of fun, so really I reckon they won. (ALSO NO CAMMIE OR VITALITY SENSOR!)

Microsoft was just embarrassing, kinetic looked silly even though it's priced a lot better than move. No interesting new games quite frankly (never really liked halo that much). Another new xbox? Eh who really cares (eats games!).

Sony was just ADS ADS ADS, god that was so boring I pretty much fell asleep, Kevin Butler is kinda meh, and then Marcus or whatever (=more ADS). Move looks silly (I hate motion controls) price is kinda high. Couldn't care in the slightest for any of the games shown, Killzone 2 was supposed to be revolutionary (GOTY!) and quite frankly was pretty shit, and Killzone 3 looks pretty much the same. Oh and not to forget another of their main points, I hate 3D, it gives me headaches and I already have to wear glasses so 2 pairs = fail. (personally don't care about Twisted Metal, didn't look too great IMO but I can't judge that)

Mind you this is coming from someone who has every console, and has played pretty much every game with a sequel announced at this E3.

EDIT: OH and Portal 2 is not exclusive, and will still be best for the glorious PC master race.
Your statement is pretty weird. You state that you hate motion controls, and yet you adamantly support the Nintendo Conference and its games, such as Zelda, which will involve motion controls. Doesnt make much sense.
You point out one thing out of all that? I don't see how its that weird. Motion controls are usually hated by people because they are never done right. Nintendo on their titles do do it right so he trusts them I'm sure(even if I personally want a controller zelda)

So he was basically generalizing motion controls that were badly implemented. I'm not saying sony is going to be. But the price for it is just stupid, and well so is kinects.

Honestly I just want this motion sensor crap to die.

Nintendo had plenty of non motion control games. The new Kirby, DK, Golden Sun, and all the stuff on the 3DS for example.

I'll just add one quick thing here, because others have already talked about the rest. The reason certain companies get loyal fans is that they make quality material. Nostalgia will only take you so far, if the new game sucks then no amount of good memories will make it better.

Before you dismiss my argument as fanboy wank, I want to point out that I haven't liked Nintendo sense the SNES. I honestly HATE motion controls and unless there is a non motion control option I won't pick up a game (like the new Zelda). I can't speak for everyone, but my reasoning for my choice was that they had more games that looked fun to play.
/thread because games are meant to be fun.

But anyway, how did you feel about the new DKC? I've seen some folks play it and it looks like they've changed a bit. I'm worried about challenge level.

is anyone else still trying to deny that Sony is ripping off nintendo?
-----
Nintendo had the most, and they didn't look like remakes for the sake of remakes.Microsoft looked good too, but Sony... even ripped off the nunchuck design.

Its a fucking Wiimote

Nintendo for the amount of stuff said. An upgraded Xbox doesn't interest me, and I already heard about Portal 2 coming out. Nintendo's 3DS isn't really something I'll get for a few more years so that wasn't important to me, but at least they showed more than the rest.

Sony definately. Im not even a fanboy because I dont own any of the three systems, but after looking at all 3 conferences, seeing the Kinect vs Move motion controls, and seeing that Sony showed a LOT more games than Microsoft, seeing as how Microsoft spent a good hour and a half just talking about their pet project, I'd say Sony won out. Fanboys of Nintendo will just say they won because "OMG remade Goldeneye and and new games with the exact same game characters we've seen for the past 25 years. So excited"
I'm a pc gamer so that being said.

While sony did better than microsoft, they did better than nintendo? Really?
The 3ds actually has good 3rd party support and Kid Icarus hasn't been around for years. New IP isn't a big deal when shits done right and its fun. Sony didn't reveal much new stuff anyway.

Nintendo actually talked about games more than anything else, sonys conference was boring as hell, but still better than microsofts.
I think the 3DS is cool too, and I will probably be buying one. All im saying is, I could have bet money that there would be a new Mario and Zelda game at E3. The sh#t is getting old. Plus, all these retro reboots are getting on my nerves. Never cared for Goldeneye. Its a 13 year old game. Let it die with dignity.

I hate Goldeneye too. By the time I had played it I had played the first half life. Refer to the man with the funny orangutan picture about rehashed ip's. He makes a good point about them.

If you don't want to basically: Nintendo makes quality games that doesn't make rehashed ip's boring but mainly refreshing and fun. Fun is what games are about, and Nintendo usually always deliver with their IP's

Congrats to everyone who voted Nintendo...you are part of the problem! Nintendo has a licence to print money, because they are a nostalgia factory that sells you your childhood for $50 a pop.

Has anyone played GoldenEye recently? It sucks. It was great at the time, but it sucks now. I see everybody talking about "How great Nintendo's conference was", but it was absolutely horrid. Zelda, Kirby, Donkey Kong....am I listening to an E3 from the NES days?

Sony, who put on an amazing show with technical innovations and IPs that haven't been around since the early nineties (or earlier), gets almost no hype because all we hear about is "o_O NEW ZELDA!!!1". Screw Nintendo, screw the fanboys, and screw Zelda. Thanks for ruining E3!
hahahahaha
If they ruined it because they had the most new stuff, the most information and finally sequels to excellent games then yes they "ruined E3".
Sony did good, they are defenatly the most original with their:

and Microsoft also had a good showing but it didn't have the information, or the amount of cool stuff that was coming out for Nintendo. But in the grand scheme of things we haven't really had a GOOD E3 in about 2 years.

Nintendo did everything your supposed to do at E3; announce huge games (Kid Icarus, Kirby, and Zelda) and back it up with a new piece of technology.
Sony introduced a few decent games like Twisted Metal and Killzone, but they mostly just made speeches and showed off a Wii remote that is compatible with the PS3.
Microsoft had Metal Gear Rising and nothing else worth mentioning.

While you would think that, nintendo wasn't quite as focused on it, and sure it involves motion controls, and sure I think it's bloody retarded, but it's still a fantastic adventure game, with fun puzzles etcetc. I can look past the controls (which are essentially still simple) for a game as great as this (if it lives up to Twilight Princess or hell I doubt it but MM or OOT). Oh and they worked quite well in Twilight Princess so I'm staying optimistic (Miyamoto isn't bloody retarded).

Are you kidding me?

I played it a couple months back at a mate's place, splitscreen free 4 all. Can tell you one thing, gunning down people with a gun that looks like a pencil has never been and never will be again so much fun as in Goldeneye.

Nintendo's conference made up for the many years of crap that they shoved down before *coughcough2008conferencecoughcough*. Definitely a great conference for Nintendo if only for the sheer number of announcements.

Sony's was nice to, it definitely had some good surprises (Suck it Gabe Newell!) and Kevin Buttler was hilarious. The Portal surprise was definitely a surprise, and Twisted Metal coming back made me laugh my ass off. No "The Last Guardian" still still STILL makes me a sad panda :'(

Microsoft was..........shiny?

So;

A great Nintendo followed by a damn good Sony followed by a.....Microsoft.

Sony. Microsoft announcing a newer version of the 360 and Nintendo a new version of the DS with 3D support and updated graphics. Not trying to troll or anything, I just have my own opinion (which according to some people, that is trolling), but the 3DS hype seems sort of like all the hype when a new Halo game is out. OMGZ!!! It's NEW! Pretty much the same thing, graphics got a touch up and a minor change or two. Plus I love Twisted Metal and Portal.

Nintendo. For the first time, it was them who focused on software (apart from 3DS, really) and the others who focused on peripherals. They also flipped a big middle finger to Sony's 3D by doing it without glasses.

I vote Nintendo, because they had all the game series I like, with the type of games I like, on the consoles that interest me. I didn't watch any of the others but they seem to include a fair amount of FPSs which I'm not fond of (with the exception of Portal 2, which admittedly was one of my favorite E3 trailers), and motion controls, much to the enjoyment of seemingly not a lot of people.

I was doing my best to word that in a way that fanboys can't contradict me, or is that not possible?

You mean DS right? Nintendo holds Kirby rights, so it wouldn't go on PSP.

Calumon: I wanna draw myself in and give Kirby a hug!
