Runaways.

Deathnote already is a TV series
Sandman would'nt translate well (imo)
Never read Y or Fables so cant cite an opinion on them.

I'd love to see a Hellboy show. Or if someone wanted to take another crack at Swamp Thing, that'd be pretty awesome too.

My vote goes to Maximum Ride. Granted, it was also a book series, but Yen Press made adapted it into a graphic novel.

Death Note would make a pretty interesting Live Action series, though I'm pretty sure they've made similar movies. Personally, I would like to see something like xxxHolic made into a television series (live action, as it has its own anime as well).

So, so many. I would love to see a 'Transmetropolitan' series. With a bald Johnny Depp in a reprise of his gonzo journalist role!
Oh wow.

Thinking about it, Transmetropolitan may not make the conversion intact, or even halfway decent.
I think the animated series proposal fell through.

'Hack/Slash' would make TV, it has a decent 'anti-twilight' ethos, could be done on a Troma budget and has all the right hooks.

Think an ultraviolent True Blood, without the terrible drawl, with a hot bisexual goth girl (Cassandra Hack) who is the daughter of a supernatural serial killer - a 'revenant' or 'slasher', a giant brute with a mind of a child (Vlad)as her sidekick, and a monster of the week pacing that completely screws/warps/rewrites all slasher movie tropes, and you're about halfway there.

Some unusual guest stars include Chuckie, Evil Ernie (Megadeth album covers, kiddies), and Dr. Herbert West (Re-animator).

Death Note already has a....nah, too many people have pointed that out already. The more obivous problem is the subject matter would be a tough sell to the american public. I love it, don't get me wrong, but I don't hinkwe're in a climate for such a deliberate button pusher.

I vote Runaways, but only if Joss Whedon helms it. It's his kind of show (hell he wrote some of the comic).

Battle Angel Alita, books 1 through 8.5.

Shit yeah. And it may happen. James Cameron (whom I prefer to remember for his work on Terminators 1 and 2 and other classics like The Abyss) will be directing a movie based on books 1-3. The IMDB rumor last I checked (pre-avatar completion) was he was going to finish Avatar, and if Avatar was a success (it was), he'd use the same technology to shoot Battle Angel.

Cyberpunk. Hells to the yes.

SCOTT MOTHERFUCKING PILGRIM!! Without Cera, and whoever played ramona.
I'm betting we'd actually see that some day. Likely animated. But even if it was live action, I doubt you'd see Cera in it (even if I'd prefer it myself). His agent would have a shit fit. :) "You're making movies, Cera! Save the crap television shows for washed up actors that couldn't hack the big screen, and Hollywood small fry!" I also imagine a big pot belly, and a cigar... and two mustaches.

Anyway, unless Cera himself really wanted the part, we'd never see it. :)

If its a live action, none of any of the series I like. I dislike seeing real life people trying and act as 2D characters that are suppose to appeal to my fantasies.

Also Death Note is already a TV series lol

Considering Death Note already has so many TV and film adaptations, I'm really, really going to plug Black Jack as something that would make an epic live action show. The market is saturated with medical dramas, but Black Jack is medical drama on acid. It HAS been released as an anime several times, but there's no live action adaptation yet, despite Black Jack being one of Osamu Tezuka's most heralded manga.
