The people slating japan are clearly retards and should be ashamed to play video games. you could argue that possible rapists might not go out and rape people because this game is enough for them a bit like (just like) methodone for heroin addicts. as the government gives out methodone for free (although to get it youd of probably spent all your money and sold everything you own to buy heroin) i think the government (mental mp) could just as easily be backing this game!
what other people have said about it being no worse than other games as they have death and violence and tonnes of other stuff thats just as bad. the fact is thered be loads of games like this already but its just a very small market and pretending youre in world war2 (stabbing japanese people), decimating alien races on a giant ring in space with a voice in your head or punching a woman while your hand is on fire and looking really pleased with yourself about it are just all far more entertaining. . . I always felt apathetic towards the enemies in Manhunt as they signed up for a large cash sum to try and kill you, and they are not a crying 10-year old girl. I still think this game is worse, not a grand scale like some people are saying, but it is worse.

In God of War you can violently murder people who are just trying to run away from having their houses burnt to the ground... In Fallout 3 you can enslave innocent people or just send their heads flying Jackson Pollock style just because they had the audacity of being nice... Rampage entire towns and mutilate bodies... In Hitman you can assassinate innocent people who are just going about their business so you can kill your real target... Dead, just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time...

...Again, nothing special here.

The object isn't solely murdering thousands of people or enslaving them. This game is specifically about raping women and girls, so somebody can masturbate to it. Simple answer? You're not committing murder in games. Murder is a 'rational' act where you stalk a victim and watch as their life is ended. Quake etc. is completely unrealistic because you're a passive observer watching one set of pixels explode on contact with another set of pixels.

Now if you're choking a character to death that you actually knew and could feel them gasping for breath and begging you not to kill them, then I'd concede the point. Especially as that made me feel nauseous just writing that.

Yes you are. Not even mentioning games (which I have before) like manhunt and hitman where you are not only committing murder but a brutal and cold blooded assassination, seldom is the occasion in a videogame when you passively kill someone. Murder isn't classified by "stalking and watching their life end", murder is classified as a premeditated and successful attempt at taking someone's life.

Rarely in a videogame will you passively kill people (Fallout 3 is the only example that comes to mind, and even there you actively murder enough people to populate a city... If you're a good guy...). You always do so willingly... You look at them, you see them, you pull the trigger and bask in their downfall. The objective is to kill them or cripple them.

Games like Manhunt, Postal 2, GTA, Hitman... They are way more sadistic than a "rape simulator".

In Hitman your whole objective is to kill targets, in Fallout 3 there are several parts where you forcefully HAVE to murder people, even if it's a "good thing", you're still taking a life... Worse yet, the game rewards you for it (i.e.: tranquility lane).

OT: Surely this game should be perceived as an outlet for a potential real-life rapist, so that he can take out his weird fetish on imaginary women in a virtual environment rather than real women in real life, who even with years of therapy, never fully recover having their humanity and dignity stripped away from them by a crazed and dangerous psychopath.

I think i'm going to go convince america it needs to finish the job with maybe 5 or 6 more nukes. We just need to make sure to send an email to japan telling all the none screwed up people to take a holiday for a day or two.
