You're at least a teenager in this one. Baby steps.
I personally love the fact that you play an older character. Its more relatable to me, even though im in my mid twenties. The addition of TM's being reusable I think has me sold on this game. In every other game, I always covet them to the point I never use TMs because I only get one in the game. Kinda like getting elixers in final fantasy games.

"You won't see a single Pikachu until well after you've beaten the game,"

One does not "beat" a Pokemon game.

They need to kill the pokemon series after this, cause seriously they are running out of colors and possibly names for the crap they pop out.

I think it is a godsend that they made TMs infinite and this is why:

Because one use makes them half useless. As it stood, You couldn't use ANY TMs until end game when you were sure they wouldn't be replaced by some better move or better pokemon entirely. And that was just if you were smart, if you werent that "poke-smart" you wasted the TMs and never got any real use out of them. Not being able to use any of the TMs you get until the very end of the game was just no fun, why bother giving them out so early and often if you can't even use them? So that's why they are now unlimited.
Plus there are the places that are usually at the of the game where TMs can be bought for points, but the problem is that it takes forever to earn the points from battling in places like the battle tower in Diamond. It took me over 5 hours over a few days to earn the points to get one TM that I wanted.

And there are other TMs that I have gotten in some of the games that turned out that I could only get one of, if there was another way to get it, I never found it.

It always bugged me that HMs were infinite, but TMs weren't.

Another thing that I've always hated is how HMs are permanent unless I have encountered the move deleter in the game, and he is usually in the last town in the games I have played. That is the one reason I was glad that flash was changed to a TM, because I would usually just use flash once while going through a cave and then never use it for days. Ya it is a good accuracy lowering move, but there has only been one time that it did any good in a battle for me. Most of the time when I lower an opponents accuracy, it doesn't seem to affect how often they miss, they just keep on hitting.

------

I hopefully will be picking up Pokemon White at GameStop. I say hopefully, because my receipt for it that I have been keeping in my wallet, all the printing has rubbed off of it. I can just barely make out White on it and a few of the money numbers from where I pre-ordered it while I was buying Heart Gold.

ok, but this is what i think should happen make 1 more generation but like pokemon silver and gold show each and every town and what it looks like before they finnish up the series, the game will last forever and it will leave on a good note. Ether that or make pokemon a pc game and make it even bigger

Slightly better story. That's cool.
Improved battle cinematics. Meh. That's nice.
TMs used infinitely. I knew it beforehand. I had a nice little "yay!"

Overall what I was expecting, and I'm looking forward to...
...huh? What's this?

[HEADING=1]They got rid of the annoying beeping when you get low on health?
HALLE-FUCKIN'-LUJAH!!![/HEADING]
Technically they didn't get RID of it, they just worked it into the music so it's not nearly as irritating.

In game reference: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Castelia_Pikachu.png
Honestly... the noise is just as annoying as it originally was if not moreso.
Even if it's mixed in with the music, it's now more prominent and the beat in itself is incredibly repetitive and I already hate it.

Back.The.Fuck.Off.

Nothing will be the same.
This cannot be true. I call fake.
It's true. Not fake at all.

I personally think that this is an awesome idea. I never used TMs before because I have a thing about not using things I won't always have.

Dang it! I just got a DSi and Soul Silver like a week ago, and I spent all my money the week before on Duodecim. I'll probably get this around the time the next versions come out, if I'm lucky...

So where do the colors go from here?

Pokemon Rainbow? You start life as a gay activist just getting your start in the wide world of homophobia...

Pokemon Gray? Where the villains are actually doing some good, and you're pretty sure the Professor has done horrible things to his nephew...

Pokemon Neon? Pokemon Purple? Pokemon Pink? Seriously, what's left?

Most likely Poke'mon Alpha and Poke'mon Beta, followed by an enhanced version called Gamma or Omega.

Or a remake of the 3rd generation.

I would love to get White, but I really do not have the money. And if I did, I am saving it for something else. I would probably get it when it becomes cheaper, like every single game I get. I wonder if my DS lite is able to play it?

They've been doing non-color names since Gen II. Crystal, Diamond and Pearl confirmed that there ain't no rule that every core game be named after a color.

As for the games theirselves: my body is so ready. Been hyping up for these releases since they started promotion. <3

I actually like the grind in pokémon games. There's just something special over having to stop before a gym, and train rigorously in order to defeat the gym leader. If the game was designed in such a way that I would be strong enough to beat the gym the moment I got to it, that would be pretty boring.

Edit: I haven't played any pokémon games since Gold. Have they introduced multiple save slots yet?
