The UI change and battle camera change was a shock to the system but it was an improvement.
It's just a shame they didn't keep the "you #1 pokemon in your party following you" thing they had in Soulsiler and Heartgold. Sure it added nothing to the gameplay but I added some sort of immersion. Made your Pokemon feel more physical instead of Phantasmal objects you conjured from orbs when you fight.
I do like how there seems to be a stronger plot line. The enemy team is woven much more heavily into your adventure. Think Arthas in WOTLK. You can't move more than 5m without seeing team plasma being evil (gross exhaderation).
Currently 4/8, so yeah, burning through it. I'm not trying to burn through, I'm just efficient.
Tripple battles are wierd and quite brutal. My team of 3 level 30s almost got destroyed by a team of 25s. I had to use items. I think the difficulty is just right in this game.
Yeah I know. But I don't feel like buying another DS. Plus then I wouldn't be able to play my GBA games.Serris said:erms, my connection uses wpa, and i can go online with SS.Irridium said:Does this game's online features still require a WEP connection? it doesn't depend on your game, it depends on your DS.
only DSi's and later have wpa support.
If someone hasn't answered this, if you have a DSi, then yes it is possible. It says it is on the back of my pokemon black box anyway.Irridium said:Does this game's online features still require a WEP connection? Sorry, should have been more clear. I meant that I recently found out SoulSilver could use WPA, and that it was the DS itself that was the problem.Serris said:then why do you ask if it can use wepconnection, when you KNOW it's the ds that's responsible for the encryption :SIrridium said:Yeah I know. It seems like quite a good game still. I think I'd miss getting my Magicarp though and slowly levelling it up like I have in all the previous ones.

I would love a Pokemon MMO. It would depend on what platform if it was on.rayen020 said:i'm still waiting for the poke'mon MMORPG. it makes more sense than anything else and if there is a way to kill WoW i'm pretty sure this would do it.
i dunno nintendo could jsut do it's thing as a publisher, and make one for PC. That'd be the sensible thing to do because the wii internet connectivity is convoluted with the wii address thing. However the next gen system releasing with a poke'mon MMO in it's release library would be a good idea.scw55 said:I would love a Pokemon MMO. I doubt they'd release it on the PC because I'd imagine they'd have to pay some fee to release a game on some one else's "system". They would also not want to promote someone else's system.
The obvious choices would be Wii (or next gen abomination) and the handhelds.
Given Black and White seem closer to an MMO than ever, they'll probably go down the route of the handheld.
However the amount of people who own a DS and are unable to connect to a wireless network with theirs, I think it would be an unfair choice.
I *do* hope they make one for the PC, but I doubt they will. We can always dream though. Like how I hope to live long enough for when they release true virtual reality and create a Virtual reality version of Pokemon.
